Default Malakim Phoros.. thoughts?

Hi folks.

Once again I'm trying to get some opinions about a model. I'm currently thinking about a Blood Angels/Space Wolves army... more fun than competitive really, the idea being alot of swooping angels and snarling wolves (no army puns intended, I mean literally Assault Squads and Fenrisian Wolfpacks) rushing downfield. I'm using Canis for the SW detachment, and right now I have Astaroth as my BA hq... I love him as a big, beefy Angel of Death type. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that his cost and the 'rage tax' for the entire army is less and less worth it on an army that's not entirely Blood Angels.

So that had me looking to a different HQ... A simple Fisticlaw captain was the first in my head, with a jump pack of course, but I wanted something a little more impressive. I finally found Malakim in IA9, and was looking at him. He's pretty impressive... Basically a Sanguinary HQ, with a glaive, infernus pistol and artificer armor. He makes his squad Fearless and can make opponents reroll fall-backs that they succeed. He counts as a Blood Angel, and gets a spiffy rule for berserking after he takes damage.

He looks like a nice, beefy dramatic unit; his 2+ save suggests I could run with a power axe if I wanted for him, and I could strap him to an assault squad and go to town. He also frees up some points off Astaroth to give me some Power Weapons to throw around the rest of the army. My only issue... well, he's FW rules. I suppose if I ever decided to try it competitively I could always say he's Astaroth and downgrade the power swords... but I'd love some opinions on him.
