your question doesnt make sense, we havent had any 6th edition codex as the rules have only just been released , do you mean the rule book fluff? or something else?

As bits said we don't have any 6th ed codecies yet.

The fluff in the rulebook has changed somewhat. A lot of it has been recycled from the 5th ed book (or earlier) but there is a significant amount of new stuff. Overall i would say the 6th ed one is superior from a fluff point. It's got more, a wider variation and touches on some new areas.

yeah i ment the big rule book sorry

the part in the big book between the rules and the pictures of the armies, i guess it's just the history of the 40k universe, i was just curious if that part is pretty much the same in all of the big books

Sure.

The Emperor is actively watching over and guiding and protecting mankind. He is definitively 'alive' (well his mind is). This goes hand in hand with the new Heresy fluff, with the Emperor keeping daemons from spilling onto Terra through the disrupted webway. It also suggests he acts against the influence of the Chaos Gods and fights against warp entities and closes warp rifts.

The third ed fluff of humanity evolving to become a more psychic race is back. Additionally the book states if mankind can weather these evolutionary changes and master its psychic gifts then a new golden age beckons. So there's some hope beyond the 'time of ending' now.

Mankind is one of the few races able to use the warp, most can not. Most of those which can do so less reliably than man.

There's clarification on the different types of Exterminatus. Cyclonic torpedoes, atmospheric incinerators, devices deployed on the surface of a world, sustained planetary bombardment.

Chaos is once again the prime threat. Chaos Space Marines and renegades, rebellious worlds, secret cults, daemonic invasions, warp rifts and storms and the whispered temptation of the dark gods.

Squats are back as a recognized and permitted ab-human strain. There are 73 stable abhuman strains recognized.

Awesomely, it says how each faction within the Imperium uses a different method of Exterminatus. Ground-based doomsday machines are favoured by the Space Marines, who have the ability to install such things. The Navy broadsides the planet until it's broken into little pieces. The Inquisition use all the really weird weapons like Cyclonic Torpedoes and Virus Bombs.

The bit about humanity becoming a psychic race was in the 5th ed codex too.

I would assume the new rulebook supports the current newcrons fluff rather than the older take on the necrons(Which i preferred).
