CSM with Tally or not

I am a CSM player and i am thinking about taking an allie.
Many players are talking about Daemons as allie.
Then you could take epidemius and when you made 20 kills with nurgle units you will be like immortal.

What do you think?

Making an army thats all about one unit or not.
when epidemius dies the extra things will be removed.
I think its very risky to do that.

Firstly, welcome to heresy.

Personally I don't like to put my armies chances of success on one unit/model for competitive games, but if it is only for fun then sure why not.

It's definitely a risk since there would be such a huge target on Epidemius. But if you needed to put up a screen for him, can you really get any better than Plague Marines?

You can't always count on having a bunker for him. But ideally, he should be in cover, out of sight and bubble-wrapped with survivable units like plague marines. Make sure he's in a place not easily reached by outflankers and drop pods!

Yeah I was considering Epidimius, so then you can basically give as many CSM things as possible a mark of nurgle, which would then make them viable for the tally and also make them tougher from the mark too, but I would also consider some nurgle demons too, plaguebearers with poisoned weapons and FNP is nothing to be sniffed at (but if you did they would be pretty smelly mind *ba dum chshhh*).

Me: To be honest im amazed there isn't a chaos god of not revising or at least chaos god of procrastination

MidnightSun: There will be, when enough people do it. Y'know when the Eldar were all engaging in their hedonism and Slaanesh ripped open the Eye of Terror with his creation? Slaanesh will have NOTHING on the God of Procrastination, and his vile minions will carve the galaxy asunder in a thousand year reign of blood.... Tomorrow

Seriously, hold off until the new Codex Chaos Space Marines comes out, that will make things alot easier.

Speaking as a long-time Chaos Damon player, there is no point in building up a Nurgle Daemon/Marine allied force until your sure what is going to be in the next codex.

Maybe Tzeentch/Thousand Sons, Slaanesh/Emperor's Children, Khorne/World Eaters, multi-Daemon/Word Bearer armies will the the best.

We have no clue yet, so your best waiting for another month or so.
