Default No friends for Nids

Ok I know that I am behind the ball but looking at the Allies list I am tottaly fine with Nids not having any allies it fits the fluff its awesome IMO. HOwever how is GW going to make us the only one? NEcrons can have allies REALLY! the guys that wanna kill all life can have allies come on thats stupid they and if they could have allies it should only be depserate allies why can they have yellow and blue allies(forgot the names that go to which). Sorry if this is old news to you guys its new to me.

Can you please shed some light on why GW went Fluff accutate on Nids but not on others?

So I am growing my enemy.....so what I gotta kill something.

They've changed the Necron fluff - in the new codex they got personality. Personality goes a long way...

Fluff wise - I wish they'd redo gene stealer cult as allies for the tyranids. They were some of my favourite battles when I was a kid in 2nd ed.

Give it time for Nids to get allies. There are rumors about WD Ally 'Dexes coming (mini 'dexes that can be taken as allies), chances are if this pans out the ol' 'Stealer Cult will be coming back to ally in.

To be fair- all they had to do was allow Nids to ally with Nids, i.e. gain some extra FOC slots, to promote some notion of balance (a very slight notion).

Giving the potential for 3 Tyrants and 240 Hormoguants

Actually, since thats nearly 2000pts of hormagants (without upgrades) you are getting into dual FoC territory anyway (which is another stupid idea- 2 FoC @2000pts? REALLY?).

Basically, the most important bit for nids would be the extra elite slot.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Port...s#.UBqpXE2PUr1

lots of stuff about the necrons changed, while the lower ranks lost their personality and became the machines of the previous codex, while the upper teirs of their society retained their senses of self. however, the billions of years in stasis has left some...well... quirks haha

check out the necron codex if you get the chance, the new fluff is really great :D

Ive started to update this project loge again, you should all check it out. it has some stupid things on it, and some fun things on it haha

Considering the number of armies that fill all their non-troop slots at ~2.5K-3K it makes sense to me. Heck, it opens up options for a lot of armies who are stuck without options other than troops once you get up to the higher end on points.

Will some people try and abuse it? Sure, but some people try to do whatever they can to eke out wins (usually via completely nuking their opponent's army).

Necrons have changed from the 'Purge all life so our empire can begin again' to the 'Purge all life so our empire can begin again but keep an eye out for those 'Nids - You may need some help for those guys'.
