For conversions, I'd suggest checking out the maxmini.eu online store. Their range of bits for converting figures into Dark Mechanicus forces is staggering. I'd suggest looking at their Biohazard, Fallen Legionnaires, and Plague lines.

As for rules, grey knights. Inquisitorial henchmen squads have huge variety for all kinds servitors/ skitari and such. I use stand knights as skitarri/ chaos androids and terminators as pretorians/heavy androids. Lots of dreads to use as heavy war machines and the dreadknight as a really big servitor. As for models there is plenty out there, Micro art studio's iron brotherhood is worth a look too.

I'd say use guard and put in lots of tanks, then ally with chaos, use cultists as your troops and a daemon prince. And then bring nothing but dreadnoughts and defilers from chaos.

At 2000 points, this could be done effectively, but you will have to wait for the new chaos codex.

1,870 eldar
1,000 witch hunters (trying to get rid of this)
1,000 SM (trying to get rid of this)
680 Tau (newest addition)
