The thing I dont get about 6th is that flyers are near impossible to hit with the exeption of with fortification guns until new rules come out

........
Through temptation and horror
I have held to my faith
As a drowning man grasps at a rock
Judge me not by my weakness
Remember not my sins of late

All in all I think that what was said above is quite sage, the armies haven't changed, the rules and tactics have.
Wow, it is going to be so hard for my khorne berserkers...

Plus, that's not really an army with expendable units to send in the face of your opponent to soak up fire, and fire support isn't really what they excel at...

You will be getting cultists soon, which will exemplify cheap and squishy.

Pardon my semi-necro, but I have to say as someone who played only one full game of fifth edition, I don't mind sixth too much. Yes the warlord thing is kind of a groan inducer, but i'm hoping *fingers crossed* that a FAQ will save the day on that one. Additionally, obviously the "psychic" specialties are kind of an untested element at the moment, but it could be cool. World Eaters, you got hosed, though.

Maybe I'm biased because I've got a tasty Deathwing army (pure luck, btw) and didn't get hardcore butt-slammed by 6th, but I'm already noticing people quieting down with the hate and starting to discuss new strategies and possibilities.

Also, the allies thing is what you make of it. Someone somewhere might try to abuse it, but as most of the support posts have said, it's a game! If someone is being a douche, don't play it with said doucher. Find someone willing to not be an ass. As someone with Space Marines and Chaos Marines, I'm pretty obviously set up to nab some IG if I wanted to, but I'm pretty well off sticking to what I have until I've got double digit games in on each army (see sig if you must know). Not going to be "that guy" who tries to mix and match obvious tardistry (ChaosTau??? dafuq?) just so I can find some way to win games...not that I see that list running the table, but you get my point.

Finally, screw you, Matt Ward! Stop bleeding cobalt and show some love for the rest of the races.

"We are the Necrontyr. We are legion. We claim dominion of this world... Surrender and die."

Total W/L/D count!!!!
Deathwing: 2/0/0
Necron: 0/0/0
Dark Angels, 3rd company: 0/0/0
Emperor's Children: 0/0/0

I am still reading through my rule book but can only see good things in the future of 40K as a whole

people have been going on for years that they want the game more 2nd edition based and as soon as it comes out people complain and moan, it is true people are not happy unless they are complaining lol

as for Overwatch i like the new rules, hitting on 6's does not make it that over powered that it will hurt as you then still need to wound and then have saves on top :-) will also bring back such things as the grot shied wall for orks etc

only thing i might have made different about it is

1. Can only fire Overwatch if in your front view (troops as well) to allow for surprise assaults from the rear
2. Maybe half the shots from a unit or an "I" test if say 6" or less away to count for troops trying to bring weapons to bear load ammo etc

but that is just my thought as i am still happy with it as it stands :-)
