Default Players/Stores in East Alabama?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this thread, but I couldn't find any subforums specifically for this topic, so here goes.

I'm a relatively new 40k player, having gotten the AoBR set last year. Unfortunately, I only have one friend who's willing to play it with me, and I can't seem to find any other players in the area.

I live a couple hours east of Birmingham, and am looking for any players in the area willing to show a couple of noobs the ropes, or any stores where we could find such people.

there is a very large group of guys in the birmingham area (i being one of them). we are very new player friendly so if you are up for a little drive we'd be happy to get you gaming.

we have our own little forum that we use to schedule games and organize local tournaments that can be found HERE
not quite as large and in depth as this site but it helps you get to know the local players.

Also there are 3-4 games stores depending on how far you want to travel.

Where are you located?

There's also a large group of players and 3 stores in Huntsville. If your willing to travel that far that is. Look up "Rocket City Gamers" for their website. There's a lot of the guys on there who travel to play so you should be able to find some games or up coming tourny's to join in on.

I'm in the Anniston/Oxford area. Distance isn't really a problem so much as scheduling. I don't get the same days off every week, so planning things gets complicated if there's more than 30 minutes' driving involved.

But I'll give these groups a look, thanks for the suggestions.

there is a game store in Leeds which is probably the closest to Anniston. if you mention that you want to get a game in on the forum there are a few guys who live right near that that i'm sure would be more than happy to help you out most afternoons
