Default Hasbro 40 Prototypes

Years ago I stumbled across an article with pictures of unproduced toy prototypes by Hasbro. One was a set of pics of a 40k Beak Marine (I would guess that it must have been around 1989-93 when they were negotiating with GW from that) that I guess would have been around 3-3/4 to 4" tall.

I've googled it and cant find any info. Does anyone remember or know anything about it?

There was an April fool's announcement in 2005 that Hasbro had bought GW, so the prototype could have been part of that.

Hmm....no I don't think so....this was an article in a print mag (like Action Figure Digest or some such thing) about 12 years or so ago and if I recall it was a "lost prototypes" or something similar showing unproduced toys.

Hmmm....

Possibly the April Fool was based on the prototype then.
