.... That might make it a bit excessive... Being able to put that many wounds on a horde unit with no saves generally.

Erm... no.


Stealers are noted for their agility and speed, not their resilience.


The only gripe I have is I`d like to see the carnifex returned to a 2+ save. Tyrants I understand, but a fex is supposed to be of sterner stuff.

You had me with the stat line, but the infiltrate, power weapon, and fleet are a show stopper. At only 20 pts per model, the stat line is good enough. It should be extra points to add power weapons +10pts(or rending), infiltrate (+5), or fleet (+5).

Well, it is a bit silly at its current S, AP, and Range statistics for how big of a weapon system it is. It is the same strength as a heavy bolter, with less range, and non-existent AP. The fact that it gets 20 shots doesn't help when 10 will hit, and then 6.66 will wound, and then 2.2 will die when facing MEQ, on average. A battlecannon would do much more damage at three times the range and 30 fewer points.

Considering it is the second most expensive Leman Russ variant, The Punisher is pathetically under-powered.

The Eradicator would be a great tank if most enemies weren't MEQ, but they are, so unless you happen to face a lot of 4+SV enemies or like tailoring your lists, the Eradicator is also a poor choice for an all-comers list.

I wish they'd make a Leman Russ with a vulcan lascannon. Same stats as a lascannon, except it has 6 shots. Now, that would be a great weapon system these days.

Eldar Autarch
-stats and points as normal, but there is an optional upgrade:
Ancient: 30 points.
The Autarch has spent eons fighting; her bones have hardened, along with her soul, and she fights with the grim determination of the old.
-1 W, +1 S, T, Eternal Warrior, forcefield save improved to 3++

So that gives us:

I think that would be okay. Those are some truly significant benefits, but the reduction of a wound is also huge. With those benefits, I would still have to think hard about taking an Autarch, but I might actually do it. It'd be better than taking them only as "+1 to reserves, with a meltagun".



Upon reviewing what I just wrote, the only addition I would like to suggest is that after "she fights with the grim determination of the old" one could add, "(suck it, Dante! She gets EW!)"
