I ate space battles for breakfast. Used to play Rebel Alliance on ultra-hard mode by limiting myself to realistic fleet sizes, which is to say a couple of fighters and maybe a cruiser. Raided border systems, and every enemy cruiser killed was a massive victory.

Have pre-ordered the core set, a Gladiator-class Destroyer (may cancel this)
imperial fighters and an Assault Frigate MkII.

I really hope the empire will be able to use nebulon b's as they were my fave imperial ships in the x-wing/tie fighter games way-back-when

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

I only have enough money ATM to get the Armada core set and a couple expansions, OR Imperial Assault. Why does FFG do this to me?

When I was a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball...

You know, they just re-released most of the x-wing and tie fighter games, updated to run properly on modern machines. You can find them on GOG.com maybe worth a look to get pre-hyped for armada

yup,
waiting to see if they will be released on Steam, not that I dislike GOG, I just prefer Steam
