Default 1,500 Iyanden - has been very good against IG

Spiritseer with that helm that auto-passes "Look out , Sir!" tests etc.

Wraithguard x5 with Wave Serpent and EML
Wraithguard x5 with D-Scythes and Wave Serpent with Holofields and EML
Wraithguard x5 with D-Scythes and Wave Serpent with Holofields and EML
Wraithblades x5 with Wave Serpent and EML

Vail's Wrath Support Battery x3 and Warlock

=1,500pts

This army worked very nicely against a large IG army. The D-Scythe units each killed about 24-30 guard per shooting phase. The Support Battery won the game by controlling the middle ground. The mobility of the Wave Serpents let me get up close and behind the enemy lines very quickly.

All that is important is known.

Not a bad list at all. 4 troop, 4 mech, and 3 weapon teams, which are T7, therefore requiring some of their anti-tank weapons to fire on them. I like it. Running D-cannons on the battery?

Also, I live by my Scatter Laser serpents. EMLs are overpriced in this codex. I strongly suggest giving them a shot! Twin-linked Shield-gun is OP Also will save you 40 pts.

DAMN YOU, DICE GODS!

I know about the EML, but number of shots is not really an issue for this army - range and high S are more useful. Once in the template kill zone the Wraithguard are almost certain to wipe whatever they shoot at.

I used the Shadow Weaver option because it is cheapest and has double the range of the D-cannon. I love the D-cannon, but as with the EMLs I need to mitigate the short effective range of the bulk/core of the army. In a more defensive army I would certainly use D-cannon platforms though because you count on the enemy coming towards you, and into range of your barrage.

All that is important is known.

Well if its tank hunting your after bright lances fill that gap better and there cheaper. But i agree with holmes here scatter serpents are unbelievable.

Brightlances are ace, but shorter range and are not as versatile as EMLs.
