Default Newish to Eldar, 1500Pts

Farseer Jetbike
Singing Spear
Runes of Warding
Runes of witnessing
Spirit Stones
Doom and Fortune

Maugan Ra

10 Dire Avengers Exarch with Bladestorm
Defend
Power Weapon
Shimmershield

5 Pathfinders
5 Pathfinder

5 Warp Spiders Exarch with Spineret Rifle
Withdraw

3 Vypers 2 Shuriken Cannons on each

3 Shining Spears Exarch with Power weapon and Withdraw

2 D-Cannons

Wraithlord Star Cannon
2 Flamers
Wraithsword

The Idea I'm going for is the jetbikes, Vypers, and Warp spiders all to Support each other and really harrass the enemy, with the Farseer casting Fortune to keep my jetbikes and such alive and Doom on individual units so the rest of the force can get rid of them one at a time, and force him into attacking the rest of my guys which will be in a defensive setup and just shoot at anything that gets in range, Maugan Ra will go with the Dire Avengers and the Wraithlord will also sort of hang back as a bit of a deterrent to attacking me in close combat, opinions please.

Well first maugan ra can't go with the dire avengers because he is not part of the aspect so you might want to rethink that bit, also in my opinion signings spears do not work well in a three man squad, either 5 or nothing in my opinion. After that it's up to you on how u equip your guys, I prefere dual rifles for the dire avengers and the warp spider exarch but up to really. Good look with your list either way

Unfortunately not!! It's the Disciples special rule. It only applies to all the Pheonix Lords.

As for the army, it's not bad. The Wraithlord isn't that great in this list as he's typically going to be away from the Farseer so will be affected by Wraithsight. I'd take him out completely.

This leaves you with an HQ slot and the need to fill a close combat deterrent...Avatar?! This guy is utterly amazing. He's relatively tough, he has a good save and will make your guys Fearless. He should be right at home. Be sure to not leave him in line of sight much though because he will be a prime target and without Fortune the weight of shots can get to him.

I'm also concerned with the lack of anti-tank. What I'd recommend is replacing one shuriken cannon on each Viper with a Missile Launcher. It'll give you some flexibility with shooting at heavily armoured targets as well as the infantry mobs.

With my adjustments you have 176pts remaining. You can increase the Shining Spears to 5 guys bringing you down to 106pts, I'd also take a Star Lance here bring the new total to 91pts.

There isn't much you can do with 91pts, but I'd suggest some Guardian Jetbikes. You have enough for 4.

To summarise:

Farseer-Runes of Witnessing, Warding, Spirit Stones, Singing Spear, Fortune, Doom
Avatar

10 Dire Avengers - Exarch, Power Weapon and Shimmershield, Defend
5 Pathfinders
5 Pathfinders
4 Jetbikes

5 Warp Spiders - Exarch, Spinneret Rifle, Withdraw
5 Shining Spears - Exarch, Star Lance, Withdraw
3 Vypers - 3 Shuriken Cannons, 3 Missile Launchers

2 D-cannons

1497pts (I think!!)

Hope that helps.

Warp Spider power blades are useless - they will die in combat, don't waste the points - plus you shouldnt WANT them to get into combat, so taking combat weapon doesn't make sense.

I'd drop 1 or 2 Vypers (that is a VERY SQUISHY UNIT) and take a Fire Prism. Vypers have BS3, so EML's aren't the best use of those points.

Give the DA exarch a Power Axe

Pathfinders are okay, but you are going to have a hard time capping objectives with two static troops.

Warp Spiders are okay, but take off Withdraw, such a small squad will be killed by Bolters and wont be able to make use of Withdraw.

Spears need to be 5, also the Exarch shouldnt get a Power weapon, his defualt Laser Lance is better, or a Star Lance if you want to pay the points for it.

If you need help try reading My Guide

The Eldar, more than any other army, should not only look at the output of each unit individually, but the synergy of multiple units together and their role in the force as a whole. - Fable
