Default 1500 Mech

Hello all, this is my first crack at the Eldar looking for any inputs.

HQ:

Farseer-RoW, Doom, Fortune, Mind War

Elites:

10 Striking in Wave(SE, TL ML)

10 Fire Dragons in Wave (SE, TL ML)

9 Howling Banshees w/Exarch WS,MB in wave (SE, TL ML)

Troops:

5 Rangers

5 Rangers

Heavy:

Fire Prism w/SE

Fire Prism w/SE

Total=1491

Plan is to put Farseer in the Banshee's move my 3 transports using cover and get my elites into the fight.

Fire Prisms to nuke the nasties before getting into the fight.

Finally using good placement with the ranger's to do some good priority shooting.

Seems low model count, but this is my first crack at. Thanks for the thoughts and help.

It is a low model count, especially the number of Scoring bodies.

While they're tough enough to withstand a mattering of shooting, any significant attempt to dislodge T3 Troops will succeed, irrespective of Cover save, especially if they Flame/Assault you.

Scorpions and Banshees not only don't add anything to the list (Shooting >>>>>>>> Combat) but they take away, by making you have only one genuinely scary anti-tank unit, and thus making your opponent's decision of what to shoot first mind-numbingly easy.

Every tank should have a ChinCannon, because losing your main gun makes you a pathetic flying brick otherwise...and Star Engines, while okay, are overcosted, especially with the new FAQ finally silencing the nonsense some players tried to promote WRT them Ramming in the Shooting Phase.

Spirit stones on the farseer.
Cut the dragons to 5 coz they WILL die anyway. Don't waste points. I agree on losing star engines but

@elessar

It wasn't nonsense. The rule book clearly states you can ram or tank shock whenever te vehicle would move. It is not an FaQ I agree with but there you are GW hate eldar lol.

Now, This is it!! Now is the time to choose; die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow!!

I would drop the Fire Dragons down to 5 people. 5 melta guns is going to kill a tank, 10 is overkill. I would also consider dropping one unit of rangers and the striking scorps for dire avengers in a wave serpent, and upgrade hte remaining ranger squad to a pathfinder squad (2+ cover saves)

We do not fear the flame,though it burns us,
We do not fear the fire, though it consumes us,
And we do not fear it's light,
Though it reveals the darkness of our souls,
For therein lies our power

Default Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the feed back, I will look into a more viable list and try to get some more scoring units on the board.
