Default 1000pts vs Eldar

So, I have a 1000pts game against Eldar tomorow. I never really played against them with me DE so I wondered if you could give me some tips and tell me what you think about my list.

This is my normal 1000pts list with which I table my opponents easily (Tau and SM) in most cases.

***HQ***

Archon
- Agoniser
- Combat Drugs
- Shadowfield
--> 120pts

***Troops***

9 Wychs
+ Hekatrix
- Agoniser
+ Raider
- Dark Lance
- Flickerfield
--> 190

10 Wychs
- Razorflails
+ Hekatrix
- Agoniser
+ Raider
- Dark Lance
- Flickerfield
--> 220

10 Wychs
- Razorflails
+ Hekatrix
- Agoniser
+ Raider
- Dark Lance
- Flickerfield
--> 220

***Heavy Support***

Ravager
- 3x Dark Lances
- Nightfield
- Flickerfield
--> 125

Ravager
- 3x Dark Lances
- Nightfield
- Flickerfield
--> 125

Total: 1000

I thought about reducing the Wychs to 7 and include a Dakka Venom:

3 Trueborns
- 2x Splintercannons
+ Venom
- Splintercannon
- - - > 121 Punkte

What do you think?

ok first thoughts, its ok for a wytch list. I immediately saw a bunch of points you can ignore though. Flicker fields on the wytch raiders, and the Night shields on the ravagers.

you do not need FFs on the raiders as they will have cover saves when you turbo boost, then they will be dakka'd down by the enemy more then likely. if not, then they are using ravagers and other raiders to gain a 4+ cover anyway. The night shields dont really help much, against longer range weapons which is our main concern, you dont lose enough to really compensate for their range as they are still 6" longer then our weapons, generally, and shorter weapons will make up the distance anyway, they are nice, but not necessary if you are trying to min max.

I do have a question for you though, have you ever tried venom spam? its quite effective if built right.

Yeah, I dropped a bunch of stuff and now have enough points for either 2 Heamos or the Dakka Venom I posted in the beginning. Thought about taking in the Haemos with Liquifier guns. they go to the wyches. when the wychs embark, the haemos stay in the raiders and drive around, flaming some stuff.

I heard about it, but never actually thought about it. How would you build one?

you take 5 man warrior squads, w/ blasters if you need the Anti Tank, in Venoms with the extra splinter cannon. its super cheap, you get lots of venoms on the field even in 1k points (I have 6 venoms in my 1500, with a raider and 3 ravagers)

Sounds good and I'd probably use it in more serious games or tournaments. This is just a fun game and I just love wychs in Raiders^^. But thanks for the tips!

Oh, and what do you use as HQ and what do you put in the raider?

no problem, yeah the venom lists are very tournament designed. they are just stupidly powerful for DE.

Wytch lists are ok, and they do the job, but lose out due to fragility.

oh yes, you should.

https://www.heresy-online.net/forums/...ad.php?t=91568

thats my 1500 Venom spam list, as you can tell, its retardedly strong

edit: another thing you can do is 3 Trueborn with 2 splinter cannons in a venom with 2 splinter cannons, if you think you need more dakka, usually people dont and need the AT more with venom spam lists though, so 4 blaster Trueborn are seen alot more.

my 2k list im working on is adding 2 more blaster trueborn squads in >D

a real giant horde? easy, 12 inch move, fire, 12 inch move fire, with 72 shots a turn at 36" away i can put a big dent in green tide lists.

the only lists I have issues with are razorspam wolves, and Meched IG
