That sounds like a pretty cool idea, especially with being able to shoot 2 melta's out from the Rhino (does it count as aopen topped when you do that btw?) and if i add that unit in my current revised list, it seems like i am lacking some CC no?

or perhaps would it be better for 4 PW's and 1 PF instead?

Nah, 4x Meltas is better then 4x PW/1x PF. Chosen stats are too meh to trick them out like that.

I like the IoN Chosen squad and the 4x Melta Chosen equally, however, you want to make sure you're not bringing a Rhino if you're infiltrating as it can't come with them. Really, its only good for out-flanking/regular deployment.

yeah IntereoVivo has a point, i missed that part of rule
but u can still outflank them if u want or just drive them from behind cover to the nearest tank, otherwise drop the rhino and hoof it over there (but will prob get the shit shot out of em'). and yeah their nothing flash in cc + giving them all PW and a PF would actually cost more.

with the shooting from the rhino. it does not become an opened topped vehicle because the CSM rhino has 2 fire points, in which 2 marines can shoot their guns from (ie. the melta's at a tank or anything else)

Yeah, the Melta armed Chosen With MON on foot sounds pretty cool, i am sure i can put that to good use
would i have enough points from 195? if not i can reduce the PB squads by one to make them two six man squads?

then i am thinking, am i actually lacking any CC Units in my Army list? i mean i know PM's are CQ Firefight specialists, and sure I have the 2 Zippy flying Nurgle DP's Zooming round chopping shit up, but do i need CC Specialists?

*sorry Rhok, i missed your post just as i edited this one , happy with the 2 firing points sounds awesome, gives them a lot more protection when firing Melta death everywhere!*

if u drop the rhino and want to walk them in u will have 35pts spare which u can us to add some more plague bearers in each squad. So yes it fits right on 195pts with the rhino, but remember they may not make it close enough to b effective, but u can utilise their infiltrate ability, so wat eva works for u.

PM's arnt that crash hot in cc, so assults should b made with plague bearers close by for support, these are ur main cc units. But with FNP, the PM's will still survive long enough the do some damage.

Right here we go, i THINK this could be the finished Product:
HQ:


Daemon Prince + Wings, MON, Warptime = 175 pts
Daemon Prince + Wings, MON, Warptime = 175 pts


Eliteís:

5 Chaos Chosen, 4 Melta Guns, Infiltrate, MON = (using remainder of points for MON if possible)


Troops:


7 PMís + PC with PF, PI, 2 Meltas, Rhino = 256 pts
7 PMís + PC with PF, 2 Meltas, Rhino = 256 pts
7 PMís + PC with PF, PI, 2 Flamerís, Rhino = 246 pts
7 Plague Bearerís = 91 pts
7 Plague Bearerís = 91 pts

Heavy Support:


3 Chaos Obliteratorís = 225 pts
Chaos Vindicator + daemonic Possession = 145 pts
Chaos Vindicator + daemonic Possession = 145 pts



Any Objections, please you know what to do.

The over all plan for me is to stick 2 PM squads relatively close together to make a 'static Gunline' or keep them close by eachother to provide support if holding objectives etc and these will be the 2 summoning units to Pop some PB's out when the shit hits the fan, either to provide a tarpit to hold some units up or to assist in combat etc, one squad will have meltas and the other Flamers to keep pesky horde Gribbly's away (hopefully).

The 3rd Squad i will move forwards to assault and pop Tanks (2 Meltas +PF), or use to contest /take enemy Objectives.

The Obilterator's i reckon i'll keep back and make use of their varied weaponry to assist other units to thin number/pop vehicles etc, and with the Vindi's what can i say? Pie plate death anyone?

And last but not least the Chosen. With their Infiltrate Ability i intend to sneak them through cover and surprise attack on Enemy walkers/vehicles/Tanks, and enemy Characters maybe?

Don't forget this is my first Chaos Army (and not the last hopefully ) so i am still learning tactic's also. Thankyou for all your help it really is greatly recieved by myself and i will post regular updates and let you know how it goes.

u have to keep em together cause ur other heavy choices r full with the vindies. but thats not bad, they r a great long range fire support and will do alot of damage if used properly!

remember they can deep strike into advantageous positions, so keep that in mind for deployment. have fun, and rip that shit up!!!!
