Default 500 pts for small tourney

I’m thinking about joining a small tourney at the 17th, but its only 500 points, so I’m not that sure. So I tried making a list, which kind of had some punch to it. So I played a little around, and this list I’m not that sure about, it’s a bit far from what I usually does, I think. So I want to hear some opinions.

HQ
Daemon prince
Wings
Pts: 130

Troops
5 CSM
Plasma gun
Pts: 90

6 CSM
Plasma gun
Pts: 105

Heavy support
Predator
Heavy bolter side sponsors
Pts: 100

Obliterator
Pts: 75

Total: 500 pts.

I personally think my body count is very low, but I hope that the predator and the oblit can help my oppenents a bit down. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

well Kaizer, i like it, to a point. i honestly belive that at this level things can get uber cheesy. what i would do is drop the predator, i know they're nice but if your playing a tourny i'd upgrage the prince to a lash prince using the points from the predator to do it, then add in a second obliterator for all that plasma goodness. this should still be supremely effective, and its easier to widdle the enemy body count down with a lashed plasma cannon blast. good luck to you! may you slaughter countless whore of the emporer!

As always Syko, you got some good points. Lashing and templating is always a good idea, and the obliterator is more all around than the predator. I think i will try this list one or 2 times before the torney, to see what works best for me. I will be back when I played the first match.

thats cool, i tend to always try my first list aswell. some things may not work for other people. like me, i cannot use Khorne Berzerkers....they always die or tend to not hit or wound things for me...its really embarassing to have a squad of KB's killed by fire warriors in CC.....

I'm with you all the way. The zerkes are a now go for me too. I always seem to hit and wound a lot, but for some reason people keeps making their saves against them. And after this happened against a unit of guardians and they died when they guardians fought back, they came of my list.

But I'm hoping to try the list one time at Wednesday and maybe a couple of times on Saturday. So there I will return with news of slaughtered aliens and servants of the false emperor.

Looks like a good list for the small point value game. I can't think of much to add.
