I definately like the theme of Grandfather Nurgle, but with no melee presence in the Troops they would be a prime target for specialists, even if they are nigh-unkillable. I've never tried to use Nurgle's Rot before, so I've no ideas on how that would fare, but it seems like it would rock against horde armies. Daemon Princes with t5(6) would be tough as nails to kill, on top of being immune to instant death.

I love the Obliterators, but having them as the only long range support (on top of the Raider) would mean they'll be walking most of the time, and if they're beyond range they're shafted. I'd like to put the idea out of taking two Oblits and exchanging them for a Vindicator to charge with the Plague Marines in Rhinos.

at any rate, Grandpa would be proud to see pestilence take another world

i like the list, and plague marines are the best objective holders, but i think you should consider picking up a vindi or two for assisstance against hord armies, plus you could use the vehicles over the oblits against nidzilla, and give them possesion so the yignore the annoying stall tactic from sniperfexes, use one unit of 3 oblits and deepstrike the as a winning move, also consider a defiler they hit hard and one would offer up some good melee power to your non melee army, plus itll draw fire and most likely take a heavy toll on your opponent

I think horde armies are going to give you fits because your numbers are so small. I field over 150 orks at 2000 points. Nids can have similiar numbers. Nurgle marines are tough no doubt but nobs with power klaws will own you.

Indeed tough to kill, but any power weapons will roll your plagues marines and because of fearless, you'll just get widdled down by those. Also too light on troops, only 36?, I ran close to double that in my list. Can never go wrong with a zerg ball of marines. I qualified for next round and am thinking of taking all my marines in a new list for it, which is close to 85+ and still taking vehicles and enough heavys. As for rot, I have always been so so tempted to try it out, but I can never pass up warp time on a prince. Alot of people also say lash is a must, but to me, its just a one trick pony that can fail on you. Land raider full of temrs can be good at times, but if you dont want to keep the full theme army, people always fearthe death raider of zerkers crusein the battlefield.

Not to hijack the thread but do you play a straight khorne army? I am leaning that way.

Nah, I run undivided but still take all the good stuff. In the torunament, I ran with two eight man son squads, one ten man zerker squad, and three ten man squads of regualr marines packed with plasma guns meltas and glory. Ive tried some khorne before, It is fun for a friendly game, but for a tournament, it is way too risky. You roll well, and you will crush your oppopnent, but you roll bad or moderate and your in trouble.
