I could include the list above with 5 Plasma Chosen (4 guns).

OR I could change it to a Crimson Slaughter list that looks something like this:

Kharny and Friends: 1850

Kharn: <==Warlord
Juggerlord: Mark of Khorne, Juggernaut, Power Fist, Lightning Claw, Daemonheart, Sigil of Corruption

Berzerkers x8: Icon of Wrath, Lightning Claw <== joined by Kharn, embarked in Land Raider
Chosen x5: 4x Plasma Gun, Draznicht's Ravagers, Rhino
Cultists x10
Cultists x10

Spawn x5: <== joined by Juggerlord
Heldrake: Baleflamer
Heldrake: Hades Autocannon

Land Raider: Dozer Blade, Dirge Caster
Maulerfiend: Magma Cutters
Maulerfiend: Magma Cutters

If you don't mind Fisticlaws rather than Axe, yeah--the IWND and 2+ are stellar too, so... no objections.

Here's a crazy Helbrute list that I'd love to run if I had the models. Maybe halfway there.

2003 Points Crimson Slaughter:

HQ:

Be'lakor

TROOPS:

Cultists x10: Flamer
Cultists x10: Flamer
Cultists x10: Flamer

ELITES:

Helbrute: Lascannon, Missile Launcher
Helbrute: Lascannon, Missile Launcher
Helbrute: Lascannon, Missile Launcher

HEAVY SUPPORT:

Obliterator: Mark of Nurgle
Obliterator: Mark of Nurgle
Obliterator: Mark of Nurgle

HELBRUTE MURDERPACK FORMATION:

Helbrute Champion: Reaper Autocannon, Power Scourge
Helbrute: Reaper Autocannon, Power Fist
Helbrute: Reaper Autocannon, Power Fist
Helbrute: Reaper Autocannon, Power Fist
Helbrute: Reaper Autocannon, Power Fist

HELBRUTE MAYHEM PACK FORMATION:

Helbrute: Multi-melta, Power Fist
Helbrute: Multi-melta, Power Fist
Helbrute: Multi-melta, Power Fist

Is this list not fucking maniacal? It definitely has weaknesses but that's a lot of deep striking/shooting.

I would probably swap these three around as to which goes where, just so that the unit that you can actually control the Crazed table for--that is, the Murderpack--gets the more shooty build, while the ones who can go either direction after taking damage... are more balanced.

Invisibility on the Murderpack would be nice.

I'd be tempted to go Be'lakor with 3 squads of Nurglings instead, for the shot at rolling on the Warp Storm table every turn. It's not like any of your unmarked, non-Daemon Helbrutes will be bothered by the crappy results on the table. You're basically gambling that you won't accidentally nuke Be'lakor on a roll of a 3 for a bunch of free shooting over the course of the game.

Not a bad idea. It dawned on me that if I keep a cultist in front of each Helbrute, they don't have to abide by the result of 3 on the Crazed table and can shoot as normal. Would definitely benefit the long-ranged, don't-charge-me-bro Las/Missile brutes. The down side is that the melta brutes won't be deep striking in any more. That was the main reason to give the melta/fists.

I can swap out Be'lakor for a literally bare bones Sorcerer and 2 Heldrakes. Which do you think is better? Invisibility or 2 Baleflamer templates?

I kinda prefer Invisibility on the table from T1, myself--when you'll be casting that Invisibility on a squad of 5 AV12 vehicles every turn.

Why won't the meltabrutes be deep striking anymore? They're still a Mayhem Pack. Hell, you could field those other 3 that were Elites as a second Mayhem Pack (since if you move it over to, uh, Daemons they sure can't be Elites), assuming you want to keep things Battle-Forged... which I honestly don't see much point to, here, besides appeasing an opponent.

Oops, right, brainfart right there. I understand now.

I suppose there's no point to Objective Secured for 30 Cultists, is there? They do serve their purpose as meat shields, though. Nurglings could easily fill the same role.

Let's try that again:

Here's an 1850 list and the 2000 point version of it. I also have one for 2500, but I don't know when I'll be playing games that size again.

Daemon Prince: Daemon of Nurgle, Wings, Armor, The Black Mace

TROOPS:

Chaos Space Marines x5: Rhino

ELITES:

Noise Marines x5: Blastmaster, Rhino

FAST ATTACK:

Heldrake: Baleflamer
Chaos Bikers x5: Mark of Nurgle, Meltagun x2, Combi-melta and Meltabombs on Champ
Spawn x5 <== joined by Juggerlord

HEAVY SUPPORT:

Chaos Fire Raptor: Reaper Batteries, Daemonic Possession
Predator: Lascannon sponsons, Twin-Linked Lascannon turret
