Default 1K Daemons Advice

Been struggling with my Daemons a bit recently. Here's the updated list I used, normally have Bloodletters but due to the fact that there is normally more than 2 people per side they don't survive long enough, unless I use incredibly large squads.

HQ:
The Blue Scribes - 130

Elites:
3 Flamers of Tzeentch - 105

Troops:
5 Pink Horrors - Bolt of Tzeentch - 95
5 Pink Horrors - 85
10 Pink Horrors - Instrument of Chaos, Chaos Icon - 200
5 Plaugebearers - 75
8 Bloodletters - Fury of Khorne - 138

Heavy Support:
1 Soul Grinder - Phlegm - 160

Total - 998

I mainly play Marine armies (Space Wolves, Blood Angels, CSM, Ultramarines) and Guard armies. This army was wiped out in a game alongside a guard army, using a battle mission, but both tanks my team mate had were destroyed within two turns, and his infantry was killed quickly as well. I found smaller squads more useful as this way I can spread my firepower out instead of destroying a single unit before having the rest of their army kill my large unit, this may also be due to my inability to pass an invulnerable/armour save.

First of all i would swap the soul grinder for a prince with tzeentch and bolt.
I would then add bolt to your individual squad of horrors, and split the squad of 10 into 2 more groups.
Lastly i would remove blue scribs and add in 2 tzznetch hearlds with chariat, we are legion, master sorcery, and bolt

Ok... first off, how many people are you playing with? and who is your teammate the guard guy? try to partner up with the CSM player. ok to the list...

HQ:

Drop these guys and add in tzerald on chariot with MoS, WaL, Bolt, if you can save points else where add in a second.

Elites:
3 Flamers of Tzeentch - 105
i would say these are good.

Troops:
5 Pink Horrors - Bolt of Tzeentch - 95
5 Pink Horrors - 85
10 Pink Horrors - Instrument of Chaos, Chaos Icon - 200
5 Plaugebearers - 75
8 Bloodletters - Fury of Khorne - 138
if you plan on being able to attack anything drop one horror unit, add in a second bletter unit. Also drop BoT off of the first unit of Horrors. Drop the icon and instrument off of the 10 man squad of horrors. add in the Changeling to one. in the list i just threw together i dropped the PB's.

Heavy Support:
1 Soul Grinder - Phlegm - 160
here you can drop the SG, add a daemon prince with MoT, BoT, Daemonic Gaze. same points cost more effective.
Total - 998

We play 2-4 players a side normally (sometimes up to 6) and the teams always change so nobody has the same teammate twice in a row.

Here's the revised list:

GOOD CHOICE but I perfer 2 nurgle heralds with breath

ANOTHER FINE CHOICE ITS A KEEPER My only other choice would be a few fiends instead they are fast and assault 12in. plus have hit and run.

Its a good point with the Icon but this is a small list. I'de drop the letters replace them with 2 5 man plague bearer units. Not only is this going to allow you a better chance at holding an Obj. but will also annoy your opponent plus when they drop with the heralds mentioned earlier attached this gives them the ability to cause some damage after they drop. Keep the horrors They will help greatly with some stopping power, but drop the icons. remember your flamers are jump infantry.

This is a tough choice honestly But i would try to squeeze 2 Soul Grinders in they will lay down way more fire than the DP and a DP of nurgle i feel wouldn't compliment the list.
Remember in small lists try to take unexpected units that your opponent would never even consider you taking. Daemons are all tactics and mind games.

As for 1st and 2nd waves I alway say shooters and MC first. Flamers are my only exception to this idea.

What should I put in the first wave, other thanthe flamers go 2nd.

Over all its a good list I just made some suggestions thats all you can use them or not. But these ideas have aided me in winning many small point games.
