Default Luthor Huss by Chris Wraight

Finished this book a couple days ago, an enjoyable read that expounds upon the early life of the famous Luthor Huss, the warrior priest whom would be the one to discover Valten in the future. Getting the story of his childhood and how he grew up to become the man he would be, that would play such a pivotal role in the future of the empire.

Unfortunately..
Minor spoiler

All in all Ill rate the book a solid 8.0, better than average, but not quite top tier.

Without reading the spoiler, since I haven't read the book, I have to ask: where is the review?

Why do you rate it better than average? Is it well paced? Is there a decent mix of story and action? Why does it not deserve a 10? Why is it better than below average.

Damnation is paved on good intentions; subtle and sugar coated or blunt and honest
A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down.
Popularity is what people strive for when they lack the strength to be themselves.

Seriously, is it really that hard to write reviews without spoilers?

I want this book as much as I want air, sustenance, and Lily Cole.

I don't know this so-called Lily Cole, but otherwise: I agree. Been thoroughly excited for this since reading the GD anthology. Wraight's yet to do wrong.

No one writes Fantasy like Chris does. In a few years, he'll be the Dan Abnett of WHF, and beloved by all.

I have foreseen it.

I'm so glad that someone else also thinks this.

I've not read all of the WH fantasy novels (indeed i've yet to read the big series books like Malekith and G&F and the AoL novels), but the 'Sword of' duology was so fantastic that it set me on a fantasy frenzy for a good few months after finishing each book.

I'm one book away from Chris Wraight's Dragonmage, which will surely lure me
back into to the WHF fold.

I've got a copy of this book on my shelf that's currently sitting unread, and I'm aiming to get around to it as soon as I can. Looks really awesome.

I do truly enjoy his fantasy work. Huss, I feel doesn't rate as highly as the Sword books but is still very good and a must read for fantasy fans.
