Default Is Throne of Skulls 1750pts this year?

I've hear rumours from a local GW staff member that the Throne of Skulls is going to be 1750 points this year, has anyone else heard similar or know anything about this?

Well I read it as 1500pts in white dwarf. Pretty certain it said it was 1500pts on the Calendar of events that was posted up here

As said there it 1500pts. I belive Brain Andwerson has said before that it will remain 1500pts for 40k & he is not going to move on the subject & I belive this is the same with the event team. Not sure the exact reason.

Not that there anything wrong with a extra 250pts added on to a current army . This is a rumour that keep happen ever year from my knolwege.

Other info is

Ticket go on sale the 17th July (though on the site a while back said the 18th). Also exspext the PDF of the rule pack up by July.

Why are tournaments everywhere else but here in the UK 1750? I noticed majority of them across Europe are 1750 <_>

Actually a majority in the UK are now 1750. It's only really the GTs that are at 1500.

Yeah, our FoB Tourny is 1750...just as well, Eldar struggle below that value...

WTF??? Are you having a Giraffe? Eldar do not struggle at 1500pts. In fact they are probably one of the hardest armies at 1500!

Nah, CSM, Orks and IG are all far better at 1500. So are Nids in fact. In fact, my mate and I cooked up an awesome Dark Angel list for 1500 - it may in fact be their strongest points value...

Well i agree with the CSM and the Orks, however IG are as of yet unproven at GT (the main UK 1500 tourney). Yes they have some amazing things on paper but thats on paper! I was one of the first people to say that the new super unit (battle psykers) weren't all that good and now there is a big dabate on another forum pretty much backing up what i said.

As for Dark Angels, IMO their best point value is 2000. I feel they get the most out of the Dualwing at that level without other armies getting too much of a boost.

Eldar are really hard at 1500. Whether it is dual biker councils or skimmer spam. They are deffo one of the best.... Just look at the GT results from March.

Tyranids are under rated at 1500. I still think a choir army is amazing!

IMO the armies that would get the biggest boost (for different reasons) moving from 1500 to 1750 is the new guard (because 250 points of extra tank/feet is good) and Necrons (coz it would allow the Necron player to look at things other than "Necrons").

Then again this is just my opinion and i'm just another faceless person on a computermebob!

Nah, I've read a number of your posts, faceless perhaps, but not 'just another' anyway. For me, 1500-1750 is the difference between 10 and 15 Fire Dragons, between 2 and 3 Fire Prisms...but I don't run Jetlocks, so I'm purely speaking from a pure Mechdar perspective here.
