Default Monthly Conversion Deathmatch - May Voting

May 2015 Voting

Voting is open to all members of the Forum. All entrants must vote, and cannot vote for themselves.

Each member of the Forum can cast one vote in each of the two categories by posting in this thread:

Most Innovative Idea: This category covers the pure imagination that fuels conversions so is for the cleverest idea irrespective of technical execution

Best Executed Idea: As well as ideas conversions are works of technical skill, so this category covers the ability to make a converted model look as if it has always been that way irrespective of how ambitious the change was.

Voting will close at midnight GMT on 8 June 2015.

Vote do not need to include a reason but they are encouraged.

For example, I might put:

Most Innovative Idea: The Mod Team - the Conversion Deathmatch is a great idea

Best Executed Idea: The Mod Team - the Conversion Deathmatch has been run very well.

The current full rules and FAQ can be found in the Rules thread.

This month's entries are below. There are more shots of many of the conversions from other angles in the Entry Thread:

Chaosftw
Here is the first squad of Dark Reapers (no GS icon on their heads yet I still need to design it.)

Fiddlestix
I'm fixing to make an Apothecary and Techmarine out of these spare bits. They look a little Chaosy, but my army is stranded and have to scavenge like Orks.

Unfortunately Canada got rid of the penny and now my two cents rounds down to zero, so...take it for what you will.

Most innovative @Fiddlestix
The next one was very hard to decide. Both seem well planned, and very repeatable by anyone. @Chaosftw as the long guns are awesome!

Innovative: madfly-art, Oh the fun of taking spare bits and making something awesome. I dig the flag, the pose, and the bits used.
Executed: Chaosftw, Everything is better with skulls, and those long guns are shhhhweeet.

Pawns betray, Knights die, Bishops conspire, Rooks crumble, and Queens lie. Be wary if you are the King.

Innovation - fiddlestix. It can be difficult to create specialists out of standard models and bits sometimes. It's always worth a try though.
Executed - madfly-art. A nice pro conversion there, well finished. Combined with the freehand painting I saw in the other thread, this demonstrates a real talent.
