Default May Painting Deathmatch Voting Thread

Voting for

Voting in this deathmatch should be based not just on painting skill, but also for application of different painting techniques, individual artist improvement, creativity and originality etc.

In order to vote, you must pick your favourite 3 entries and list them in order of favourite to least favourite. For example I would vote:

1) Dave T Hobbit (favourite)
2) humakt (second favourite)
3) Viscount Vash (third favourite)

If you vote for an entry as your favourite that entry will recieve 3 points, if you vote for an entry as your second favourite it will recieve 2 points and if you vote for an entry as your third favourite it will recieve 1 point. Once voting is finished I will add up all of the results and the winner will be announced.

If you have entered but do not cast your vote, then no votes for you will count. This is to encourage voting and to ensure that we at least get some votes.

Also note that if you vote for an entry that is not eligible for any reason (I still post them up so that others can see them) then the entire vote will be disregarded (1st, 2nd and 3rd choices).

Anybody voting who has less than 100 posts to his/her name will be disqualified from voting to eliminate cheating as although it is a non-competitive event, we are still taking precautions against cheaters (this rule does not apply if you are a participant).

Voting will be open for 5 days and will close at Midnight GMT on 10 June 2013. Any votes cast after this time will be disregarded. If you do not vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd then your vote will also be disregarded.

Awards are as follows:
Participation: 1 reputation
3rd Place: 2 reputation
2nd Place: 3 reputation
1st Place: 4 reputation, receive Mark of Slaanesh during the quarterly Heresy Online Awards

(DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF)

The Entries are:

Fiddlestix

Finnbot

The Son of Horus

scscofield

Dragblud da scrunka

Svartmetall

Chaosftw

1. Svartmetal - Nice nurgling! Love the matte skin and armoura playing against gloss gore and trim.
2. fiddlestix - Good camo and really shiney soulstones!
3. chaosftw - well painted, nice colours and clothe work is very nice!

Honourable mention to son of horus, Really love the colours and the dirty feet, maybe better pictures?

Well done and good luck!

1. Svartmetall - This one is disgusting in the best possible way. The highlights on the armour are good and believable, and have that "well aged" look that Nurgle troops should have. The skin looks great too, quite diseased and putrid. Even the space marine head looks cool. What's he gonna do with it? Eat it? Play bloodbowl with it? Nobody knows but Svartmetall. :D

2. Finnbot - I like this model a lot, and have seen many colour schemes for it. This one I REALLY like. All of the colours fit well together, and it is really believable. Even the other guy is like "Man, why can't I have cool robes like that."

3. The Son of Horus - I like the colours used on this one, and the battle damage. I did a lot of this on the Gundams that I used to paint. It brings back memories. I like the small details like the panel lines and stuff too. Even though I hate everything about the Tau, this one is pretty cool.

Honourable mention to Dragblud da scrunka. Again, as with all the others, THE COLOURS! I like em'. I like the bronzy parts on the armor bits. Highlights are well done. I'd like to see a whole army painted like this. Oh, the base is cool too. Looks like he is leaping off of it. Nice job!

Pawns betray, Knights die, Bishops conspire, Rooks crumble, and Queens lie. Be wary if you are the King.

1. Svartmetal - The flesh and armor are very nice, makes me want to try to do my chaos models like this.

2. The Son of Horus - Reminds me so much of Robotech, the white is very crisp and clean looking also.

3. Finnbot - The main guy is just very badass looking in terms of color schemes, makes him really stand out.
