Default Any WFB players actually make the switch?

Wow...it's bee a LONG time since I've been on here. It's been just as long since I've picked up a brush. Only thought to come back and have a look as I came across all my models while doing some cleaning of the dungeon (aka - the basement) this past weekend.

So, as to the title, have any WFB players actually made the switch to AoS or has GW officially killed off its fantasy genre game? I see the AoS forum is pretty dead.

No but then again WFB wasn't that big for my fgs either even with me trying to get a few friends into it.

AoS actually seems pretty popular over here. It's a decent enough game, just.... distinctly not WFB. Early on especially was a disaster as there was no point system to speak of (it's still iffy af) and the only real influence you had on the game3 was at deployment with the rest being up to dice luck.

It's... slightly better now, decent enough game to spend an evening on. Still, I myself rather prefer WFB's very involved (and quite decently balanced) game, AoS is not really my cup of tea. Keep in mind that if you feel the same way, as long as you know other players, 8th is still perfectly playable. And there's always the Ninth Age.

Ask not the Eldar a question, for they will give you three answers; all of which are true and horrifying to know.
