Default CSM: Don't leave home without your Lash

I just wanted to post this in case anybody hasn't figured it out yet. Lash of Submission is back! And a whole lot better in 6th. (at least until it inevitably gets nerfed in the new codex) But we can enjoy it now.

Alot of army lists this edition are dropping transports (rhinos at least) because of the new disembarkation rules. This means more Infantry targets for your Lash. This is similar to the beginning of 5th before transports really got popular and dual Lash was the bee's knees.

Lash can also be used to exploit the new wound allocation rules. If you want to get rid of that power fist before your Prince charges in or a pesky missile launcher, use Lash to bring those models to the front of the squad. Now fire away.

And remember, it's not cheesey when the rest of your codex blows

Very true - can prevent your DP from being Fisted to death in unlucky situations against tactical squads, or ork mobs etc.

Saying that, I'd expect this to be smashed for six by the nerf-bat with the new dex, simply because it's actually a vaguely effective way of killing SPehs muHreenz.

I'm more partial to the spamming of telepathy, with 2 DPs with MoN and telepathy and 3 thousand sons units with telepathy. lash is good though

Latest round of CSM codex rumors says Lash is entirely absent from the psychic tables of the coming book. So enjoy it while you can, friends!

Meh, personally never liked lash anyway, its like the poor man's choice of powers, its just giving in and admitting your no good as a player and just taking something so used it resembles goatses asshole.

Good it was netted, better it might just go away

no one should be shocked if lash is removed from the next codex.

Now that's not fair. If something is used a lot that means it's probably pretty good and a tactically sound choice in any army. I would expect a 'good' player to make use of something like that because he realizes its potential use on the battlefield.

A good player wouldn't impose handicaps on himself just because other people use a particular piece of wargear. That's what a cocky player would do.

But I do suspect they'll get rid of Lash or make it more like Pavane.

Also with the addition of lethal terrain, even though I don't know anyone who plays with it, but you could just throw them into a pit of lava, or into mysterious terrain and hope the role is a bad one (or simpy use a known bad forest)

Me: To be honest im amazed there isn't a chaos god of not revising or at least chaos god of procrastination

MidnightSun: There will be, when enough people do it. Y'know when the Eldar were all engaging in their hedonism and Slaanesh ripped open the Eye of Terror with his creation? Slaanesh will have NOTHING on the God of Procrastination, and his vile minions will carve the galaxy asunder in a thousand year reign of blood.... Tomorrow
