Default Help On Using Allied Daemonhunters

I need some help and advice on using allied daemonhunters
with my space marine army. Also I'm a little bit confuse on
how many units I need to take from the codex. It's on
page 21 from the daemonhunters codex. Also I have a
questions on psycannons, Are they a good special weapons
to use?. I'm planning on adding them to my fast attack
grey knight squad. If you have any questions?, Feel free
to post on some ideas on using allied daemonhunters.
Thank You

Allied grey knights do not use FOC. The is no requirement to have a HQ and 2 troops choices. However you limited to a certain number of each type (Elite, Troop) as stated on pg 21.

Pyscannons are nice, they are STR 6 heavy bolters that ignore inv saves (very good against DE, Eldar and Daemons) but they are also expensive. The vanilla Gk combo of NFW and Stormbolter is pretty damn good and its generally not worth the points to swap it out for a psycannon (your bog standard GK with a glorified heavy bolter costs 50pts). They are better placed on termies to be honest or purgation squads but I wouldn't advise the latter. Purgation squads with just 5 Gk's, 4 with psycannons cost a massive 250pts. I would maybe give them an incinerator and leave at that, the basic weapon combo is very good. Consider taking a GK Termie squad over any other unit as they are lot better the SM termies (fearless with STR 6 Power weapons) and only fraction more in cost. If not take a elite Inq with a bolter, a bargain at 21pts so u can get an assassin.

well, I believe thats not allowed, since you get only 1 of each section- HQ and elite, so fo an assassin you'll have to get the inq lord (with at least three henchmen) that can get point heavy. but, a grey knight hero (BC or GM) with a psycannon can be fun- deep striking a BS5 pimped-up heavy bolter carried by a terminator IC. shrouding, S6 power weapon and other GK goodies are great, and if you want that psychic hood too- no problem. the basic setup will only set you back 81 points.

Godzy is right, since you want to fill the single Elite spot with an Assassin (which requires an Inquisitor to field), you'll have to invest in an Inquisitor Lord from the HQ section. Although, if you want to add some psycannons to an army, the Inquisitor Lord can make an excellent fire-base if you take the right Henchmen/Equipment.

As mentioned earlier, Grey Knights with these weapons are a bit pricey and I agree that they're probably not worth taking.

Hey Guys, Thank You for giving good advice on using allied daemonhunters
. It's very rare to see players using allied daemonhunters with any
space marine chapters and any Imperial guard armies.
