Guard armor rules

1) what are the rules for moving and firing?

2) what is the difference between the LRBT and the Leman Russ Conquerer?

3) what tank should Pask be paired with and why?

sorry for any repedative and seemingly obvious questions, but because of time constraints i havent played on the table top for 2 years or so.

i really want to at least make my own tank squadron in the near future thanks to influence from BL books and my grandpa's WWII record, and i want to be informed before i build any models

1) you move 6" and fire one weapon or Move 12" and fire nothing or if using a Leman Russ 6"+2d6"

2)the Conquer is not in the imperial guard codex

3)Vanquisher its becomes the ultimate tank killer.

It's D6, not 2d6.

leman russ can move 6 inches and fire its main gun plus one other due to lumbering behemoth special rule

2) what is the difference between the LRBT and the Leman Russ Conquerer?
the conquerer is a FW tank that has a worse gun and is more expensive pointswise for some reason in IA but i haven't looked at it in great detail so there could be some other benefit the conquerer has that i've missed

3) what tank should Pask be paired with and why?
pask is too many points IMO as many of the leman russ variants depend on scatter and the improved bs isnt that much of a buff however if you really want to use him then the exterminator, punisher or vanquisher are probably your best bets, however all of these are worse to something else in their role e.g. exterminator worse than 2 hydras, punisher by most other russes, hellhounds, massed lasguns etc. and vanquisher by medusa or maticore or vendetta or meltavets

good luck building the tank squadron is something i'd really like to do if/when i get the money

thanks for the responses. moved recently and still cant find the codex.

as for the Vanquisher, what is its range? if it cant get in a few turns of firing before anything capable of punching through it gets close, then the (if i remember correctly)
4+ to hit makes it seem risky.

my problem with it is the same problem i have had running a SM force with sniper scouts; they CAN drop MC's and infantry well, but with only a 50/50 chance of hitting, you need alot of them to be truly effective, and an extra box of scouts is alot cheaper than multiple tanks.

It takes a pack of Wolves to tree a Lion... here is hopping the new DA codex reflects that.

When that IA came out you could not move and shoot ordinance weapons if I recall correctly.

The Space Marine Commander said, "We fight with honor, and ferocious precision."
To which the Imperial Guard Commander replied, "We do it with Math."

This is correct, at the time the Conqueror, Executioner and Exterminator were the only 3 leman russ variants that could still move if they fired their main gun. As well as this they could stay still and fire all of their sponson and hull weapons and their main cannon whereas vehicles with ordinance couldn't. You either fired the big gun or all the little ones.
