Default Living ammo?

I'm building my first nid army and have the 5th edition codex. I've heard reference to living ammo - allowing a re-roll on wounds. I can't find this anywhere in the 5e... is this still valid or was it removed?

I don't think they have that rule any more.

Strange, but not a Stranger.

Damn... figures, because that was really slick So pretty much shooting nids are handicapped now from reading the codex. CC is evil

It is difficult to come up with a competitive focused shooty list. But the best lists have a good balance between shooty and CC, not just dedicated CC. Units like Hive Guard and Termigants are solid units even in CC lists.

I have reached simmilar conclusions - have the gants and the sniper guards continue to plink away as units are tied up in CC. I suppose it comes down to essentially attempting crowd control with ranged stunds on mech with the fex and keeping shooting mobs busy hand to hand. I will start experimenting...now I need to buy a trygon heh
