Hmmm... im guessing perhaps Dark Angels will be the army of choice next week.
Quoted for truth. I thought the exact same thing when I saw this. So, ABT, can we assume this thread will go the way of your necron "Tactica"?

Relax aboytervigon.
Just stirring you up a little, no need to get your knickers in a not.

I would advise sticking with 1 race and getting a few games of experience before considering allies.
And assuming the new GK 'dex is being released, the chances of allies being scrapped is fairly high, so you wont be able to take your GKT with IG anyway.

no.. very funny I just thought it would be fun to have TH/SS in an already overpowered army.

I know the 'legal' standpoint and I still use the 'proper' Codex myself, but in the big bad wide world there is a lot of debate going on about what has precedent - the book or the pdf. Some Tournaments are going by the pdf, others say the book, and the same goes for individual opponents who want to play the badass and deny the Codex and/or the pdf depending on what suits their own lists.

GW stuffed up when they basically said 'decide for yourself which one you use and come to an agreement with your opponent'.

I know plenty of DH players who have shelved their armies until the new Codex comes out in April (or whenever) because they don't need the grief associated with this BS.

So in the end all I'm saying is that before a game a DH player needs to verify with their opponent what form of Codex they're using...because you know we wouldn't want to disadvantage our opponent with our scarily ultra tough hard-as-nails list.

I'll be more than happy to see Allies gone...IG don't need them, and hopefully DH/GK (whatever the new Codex will be) will be competitive without relying on a crutch to make them so.

IG dont need TH/SS Termies.
Lots of better things to spend 200 points on in a Guard army.

No you cannot. DH codex pg 30 in the box labeled Transports.

It states that only units bought for a specific DT can ride in said DT.

Strange, but not a Stranger.
