Default Codex master you will become

This will sound stupid but if followed will help.

Ok I keep hearing about people who pull Bull Shite about my chaos guy can do this and my scouts get 5 attacks.

just do this buy 1 of each codex and read it and your problems go away. I own all the codexes but only play a few of them but NO ONE pulls anything over on me.

yeah i suppose that is one way, or make sure you play people that have the codex's for there army and get them to show you the stuff they are saying. Most people will be more than happy then to show you there army book and point you to the wargear they are using etc... if not they probably have something to hide

I don't play sleazy people like that. my gaming group is laid back except n tourneys. When someone cheats and is exposed, we ostrasize them (new vocab word!).

Whats the point of the game if you cheat to win?

well its certainly not a bad thing to have all the codex books, just depends if you can afford to spend out the cash on that rather than new mini's

I was thinking of doing the same. Having all the codices will definately teach a few extra things to take to tournaments.

I actually like to read the different codexes, so I do buy/own them all. The problem with that is I want to build that particular army afterwards.

In all seriousness, I have issues come up with a couple folks on a regular basis. It helps me tremendously to know what's in their codex. Anyone ever fought an illegal demon prince or crisis suits with way too much stuff? Good stuff to know. Plus, it will help the offending player so they will learn how to properly build and play their army.

Yep I have every current codex (except the new Eldar one) and each of the previous to that if there was one. It took a lot of cash, but they're all good reads (except maybe the Eldar ones ). The current ones I do my best to regularly check up on for anything that comes up, although my memory isn't the greatest.
