Default XV8 shoot heavy then move?

Is it legal to shoot say a SMS on a XV8 suit if it hadn't moved in the movement phase. Then during the assult phase use the jetpack to move 6"?

Well XV88's have them not XV8's from what I recall from the codex, but yes as I see it they can as it's not the movement phase.

You can actually move before AND after, as well as assaulting instead of the second move.

XV8s cannot have SMS can they? and XV88s (who CAN have SMS) are not Relentless or Jet Pack... they are Infantry.

So no to both... the XV8 can't fire a SMS (becasue it cannot be equiped with one!) and the XV88 cannot either (because it's Infantry firing a Heavy weapon).

Strange, but not a Stranger.

Broadsides do NOT have Jet Packs, so there is NO assault phase bonus move (except for charging of course)
They stomp around on those great big metal feet.

Unless you buy them ASS, they can not move and fire. They are normal infantry

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. I was more looking at the XV81 which comes with a SMS but is based on the XV8 for all regular rules.

Sorry, I assumed you were talking about Broadsides.

I'm not familiar with the forgeworld models, but if it has a jet pack then it has Relentless, which means it can move, fore and assault with heavy and RF weapons.
