Default SM Squad Limits/Restrictions

Hey guys. Im new to the game playing side of W40k and want to no what restrictions there are on Standard SM armies. In the SM codex it says the Compulsory units are 1 HQ and 2 troops. After that it has optional selections.
To refine my overall question ill make some smaller ones.
1: How many HQ can i take overall?
2: Whats the limit on Elite and Heavy Personel?
3: When it refers to scenarios, what diff does it make?(im getting the rulebook next week)
4: In the codex Librarians and Chaplains are listed as HQ but it also refers to them as "support" aka unofficial HQ. Does the "support" tag mean nothing and i have to choose between the HQ units?

Ill post Q's as they come to me.

After the 1 HQ and 2 troops you must take you can have up to:
1 more HQ(2 Total)
3 Elite Choices
3 Fast Attack Choices
4 more Troop Choices(6 Total)
3 Heavy Support Choices

Depending on the Scenario, it can limit what you can and can't take. The scenario's description will tell you that.
As for Librarians and Chaplains, they are still a valid HQ. The only reason I can see why they would be classified and a Support HQ, is they aren't as powerful as they once were, and are better designed to help your Chapter Master/ Captain or Special Character out.

Welcome to the game of 40k also, and I know you're anxious to get started and to be playing and to understand the rules, but wait until you have your rulebook and Space Marine Codex. Read through them 2 or 3 times and most of your basic(like the ones you asked in this thread) questions will be answered. If you still have questions after that, don't hesitate to ask.

The mentioning of support for librarians and chaplains has no bearing on either unit selection wise. They each take up one HQ slot, end of story.

spike12225, I don't think your post helped in any way, shape, or form; and a BT army would likely not be able to reach 10k on a single chart. 5-7k would be far more likely as the troops alone would run up roughly 3k.

Damnation is paved on good intentions; subtle and sugar coated or blunt and honest

Popularity is what people strive for when they lack the strength to be themselves.

Seriously, is it really that hard to write reviews without spoilers?
