Default Working out Loota shots

I always thought with the lootas deffguns you roll d3 per loota however in the latest white dwarf it does says that you roll 1 d3 and times that by the amount of lootas.

Was just wondering which way was right. Personally i like the rolling 1 dice and multiply. Loving the sound of 45 shots a couple of times a game.

I dont believe it states it in the codex. Although i don't have in front of me.

It is D3 x number of Lootas, one roll for the squad. That is what it says in the codex.

It gives a bigger range, D3 per loota would average out more.

The Emperor Protects. Now if only I could get him to make my armour saves...

That is indeed how they work. It really makes them more random. A d3 per loota would not have the wide swings in the numbers of shots.
