Not that much of an objective as they are usually pretty static so getting to objectives can also be a problem.

Gotta disagree. Kill Points is actually quite good for IG. C'mon, it's stand and shoot and kill the enemy. At least, I've won over half of my KP games, 1-1 at the Vegas GT in them.

While we might have more scoring units (depending on the army build), I don't know that I would say it's a big advantage. Those units are still only T3 5+ saves. And hth is brutal, generally destroying any IG unit involved. The hard part for IG isn't putting a unit on an objective, it's keeping the unit on the objective.

it really is a matter of how you play. most people that are automatically negative tend to take a while to adjust. That is while I tend towards pointing out the positive. Many players, especially those that are young or inexperienced tend towards the shiny stuff end of armylists. this tends to mean that they build lists centering on those units/options/bits of kit, and do not branch out as easily as a more experienced/mature player. when a massive change comes along, there is a tendency to become defensive, and see the change as bad.

lets focus on the positive ends of the changes.

For IG, even if they do give up more kill points, it does reflect their style of warfare, which is attrition.

Imperial guard can do awesome in objective based missions, if the player isn't min-maxing their force. up to a whole foc worth of troops for one slot ain't nothing to sniff at, especially as al of them can claim objectives, this means a potential of 36 squads to claim objectives with if the points are high enough.
