Do you think anyone would mind this?

Out of curiosity. I would like to build a forge world astrial claws army using space wolves rules. do you you think anyone would mind in a tournament setting? would you? I just dont want to build this expensive army and not be able to use it the way i want to.

Personally it wouldn't bother me, but out of common curtosy let on exactly what your plan is to anyone in the tournament who you either face, or who regulates the tournament, judges/moderators/etc.

Again, I wouldn't have any issue, but I'm not everyone and I'm definitely very open to rules and mods across armies that I face off against. So mine is perhaps not the word to take. I can't imagine too many people would have that much of an issue, though.

"I believe in three tenets of battle - firepower, firepower and more firepower. Should the Omnissiah have wished otherwise, he would not have provided me with such a mighty tool as the Razorback. I long for the day in which my entire Chapter can ride to war in transports such as these, vehicles whose rage can be given voice through their sanctified armament." -Kardan Stronos, Chapter Master of the Iron Hands.

i wouldnt try and use it to hide or suprise opponents, if that is what you are asking, no. i would be very open and up front when entering the tournament and before each match. "hey, just to let you know, im using SW rules" kind of thing

As long as you show me the rules so I know you are not cheating. Most people are ok with it, just run it by them first.

As my store manager says, as long as the entirety of your army (Allies excluded) use the same rules, it's fine. No taking a space wolves army with a unit of Death Comapny and a Ravenwing. But otherwise it's fine.

As long as the models are easily identifiable, I'd say no problem. I'd only argue if you dropped some power armored models and said they're fenrisian wolves. Otherwise, have at it

Yeah, that's a perfectly legit counts-as army. Go nuts!

It reminds me of my Night Lords army using Blood Angels rules.

Strange, but not a Stranger.

great, thanks, that's what i figured. i just wanted to get some opinions. all the models will at least be around the type of models they are. ie marine models are grey hunters, MLs are MLs, models with special weapons will have those weapons, etc and so on.
