Default question!

can khorne berzerkers use bolters?? i want to figure this out before i remodel al my men. in the chaos space marine codex the troops section says that the marine will be equipped with a close combat weapon and bolt pistol or bolter..but im wondering if i can still have bolters on my berzerkers. nothing in the book of khorne says i cant. i would just like to get some feed back from some experienced players.

You can, they would suffer from Blood Rage as normal but you can. I ran Blood Angels with bolters at one time which you also have to watch out for with rage.

As far as I know you can, only problem Is though when you range (1 In 3 chance) you can't shoot so I'd stick to the +1 attack for pistol/CCW weapon. Maybe add the odd plasma pistol to add a bit of punch while still having the combat prowess.

direct quote from my codex " WEAPONS: Each model may have a close combat weapon and either a bolt pistol or bolter."

to me that says i can give my zerkers chain axes and bolters

Apart from the modelling options It's pretty pointless as you don't actually gain anything In game terms, you'll still only gain +1 for charging as you have a 2 handed weapon (bolter) along with the CCW.

yes, but you won't get the extra attack for Bolt Pistol/CCW or Chainaxe. If you dont mid that, you're good

I'd go with chainaxes and BP's to max out your attacks to 4 on the charge!
If you need fire support I'd stick to LC/HB predators and let the Berserkers get up close and do what they do best!
