Default Loyalist Traitors

Hey guys, just a quick question.

Did any loyalist marines from the legions (eg. SW, BA, DA etc.) go traitor when Horus did, just as some of the Marines from the Traitor legions went loyalist?

Cheers,
Shas'o

Well the Dark Angels obviously. Though they didn't throw their lot in with Horus so much as they rebeled for other reasons.

As for the other Legions, as far as i know theres been no specific mention of any of Astartes from the loyalist legions turning traitor, although we can't rule it out

Aye, it's plausable that there were elements of the loyalist Legions that joined Horus. We may even see some in Outcast Dead.

No, for the most part, if you read the Heresy series, the Legions that initially turned are the only traitor Astartes. There weren't any members of the loyalist groups that did, simply because the only Marines Horus felt he could trust, were the ones that were under the primarchs he persuaded. That and he didn't want any rogue elements outside of expedition 65, and his fellows traitor primarchs, from knowing of the betrayal.

I think a cause of the fall of many of the traitor Astartes was that they had a choice to make between their Primarch and their Emperor. We know how they chose.
That the Astartes of the loyal Legions didn't have to make that choice makes them falling a lot more unlikely. The choice they had to make was between their Primarch and Emperor vs another Primarch. I can't see any Primarch's geneson betraying him for merely another Primarch.
I could always be wrong.

Alright cheers guys, so we have not evidence of it happening, but it could have happened (maybe for the same reasons the DA did)
