Well the other primarchs only use a gun when they can shoot you point blank in the face. Or there's next to no chance they can miss something.
And there's always the the rule shoot first then say what ever you hit was your target.

I would beg to differ.... clearly, Perturabo would be the superior primarch in a ranged shootout. Just think of the caliber of the gun he would use... who cares about style when you obliterate the foe. You are all thinking too small... mwhahaha! Take that Corax! Pistols and bolters? We'll just shell you from 25km away!

I wouldn't count artillery as a firearm.

Of course the ability to make well-crafted firearms doesnt necessarily mean you are any good at using it, but Id imagine the requisite knowledge of balance, recoil, weight etc would make you a keen marksman.

Think Hattori Hanzo from Kill Bill. +1 Vote for Vulkan.

Also
Terror tactics -> sniper ability? +0.1 vote for the Curze :-p

Personally I'd say the Khan as he'd probably have the traits that the horsemen from his home planet have and that's being able to be accurate while moving.

Or Corax - use of guerilla warfare, relying as it does on ambushing, quick withdrawal, attacking vulnerable targets, lends itself to employing sniper forces.

Magnus.
OK, so he's only got one eye...but he could use precognition to tell when your head would walk into his gun-sight.

I actually remember some artwork with Magnus carrying an enormous boltpistol. The things was so fucking huge that he'd hit way more than your head if he shot you. Think using a .44 magnum to shoot a mouse. Though, with his psyker senses (pregoc, heightened mental awareness) I actually think it's quite safe to assume that Magnus was in fact a good shot. I mean, even if he's orginally off target he could probably tweak the bullet's trajectory in mid-air. Though some might consider that cheating.

The human appendix. Proof of a higher power. A divine kill switch so to speak.

No one really likes a smartass, but people tend to like a dumbass even less.

locustgate,

I don't recall any fluff where Alpharius shoots at others. I'm not saying it's not out there; I'm just looking for directions.

Given Vulkan hasn't been shown doing much of anything, though, I'm still inclined to pick the guy with the fanciest gun.

Nah Vulkan was slow because of where he was from. I bet The Khan is a master shot from riding a bike, along with being a master swordsmen.
