clearly you dont see what im getting at so ill explain abit more. the lion may have alot of other traits but the guy is very much a schemer and he is all the more effective with it by seeming like he is one thing but is in fact another.

he schemes for reasons unknown for keeping luther on caliban when he could quite easily execute him if he thought he was gonna let that bomb go off. also why does he single out certain members of the legion when all they possess is the power of the warp which he would have known was widely avaliable to the legions before nikea and also whats the deal with his scheming with perturabo when surely he would have known that perturabo didnt have any other target to use those super seige engines on besides the imperial palace. his guy is scheming at every turn and has ulterior motives with everything he has done so there is my comparison to the same secrecy and lies alpharius/omegon show.

if you dont want to agree then thats fine but it was my point which has good reasoning so thats it.

He can't execute Luther. Luther was a massive presence in the Dark Angels, especially the Calaban astartes, executing him would have caused a massive rift and divisions and would fuck up morale. By effectively banishing him to Caliban the rest of the astartes are none the wiser and status quo is kept. He didn't get rid of all Librarians, he excluded Zahariel because he knew of Luthers near treachery yet said nothing. He was hardly scheming with Perturabo either. They all knew Horus was going to be very well bunkered down at Istvaan, he had a long time to prepare his defences and would need heavy guns to dig them out. Even then they are going up against four whole traitor Legions, those guns would make a massive difference, so why wouldn't he give the loyalist attack force the guns.

The Lion is like a lesser version of Roboute, but with a dark side.
