Default Favorite Pre-Heresy Traitor Legions

For this I am talking about all the traitor legions but when they were still loyal.

I think the Luna Wolves are my favorite. They were just an awesome Legion and had Horus.

I also think that the Emperor's Children were really cool too.

I want to say Death Guard but I feel I like them only because of Mortarion.

I love the Alpha Legion. I liked them before but never that much, but after reading Legion i loved them, their tactics, how they interact with others and themselves, the way they infiltrate all organisations to the highest levels, actually care about their agents, going so far as to rescue them when captured. And as for the primarchs themselves, Alpharius and Omegon are among my favourite primarchs, their attitudes, ways of thinking and personalitys in general are just amazing.

I never understood how people REALLY got into the Iron Warriors or Night Lords. Is there a book series on them or anything?

I personaly hate the Night Lords. You are already a Space Marine, you are GOING to be scary already!

Lord of the Night is a standalone novel which tells the tale of Zso Sahaal. The first captain of the Night Lords Legion.

Other than that, Soul Hunter is the first novel in the potentially 6 novel long Night Lords series. The Core (in Fear the Alien) and Throne of Lies are also part of this series.

They really take it to the next level. Astartes are scary, Night Lords make the most battle-hardened warriors shit themselves and sap their will to maintain any form of resistance. In my eyes the Night Lords are one of the most interesting Legions, and Curze one of the most interesting Primarchs.

Didn't he go crazy and attack the Imperial Fists? I could be way off, I know nothing about them lol.

I love the Thousand Sons a lot too, but I think I like them after they joined Chaos because to me their fall to Chaos was orchestrated so well.

A Thousand Sons were mine,,, right up to the part when they met the Wolves, Custodians and the Sister witches... it went downhill after that!!!

Exactly. I mean, they had it coming; they didn't follow the edicts of the Emperor. BUT the whole time I feel sympathetic towards them. So I would say that the Luna Wolves, Emperor's Children, and Thousand Sons are my favorite.

He attacked Rogal Dorn if thats what you are thinking. He also killed some Fists escaping from captivity, but I dont think that was because he was crazy per se
