Very interesting thus far.

Unofficially, there may be a couple of chapters who bear the seed of a heretic...

But that is all speculation and conjecture.
So theoretically if the Imperium owns some of the "heretic geneseed" the could produce chapters off of them?

They could, theoretically... but realistically, the same political entity that attaches religious connotations to starting up your motorcycles probably won't use the super-stuff of those who sould their souls to the proverbial devil.

Yes but due to superstition and all that fun stuff the Imperium has more then likely destroyed that geneseed stock or just keep it on ice, never to be used again.

Just like how in some comic books or sci-fi stories how theirs this superhero or super soldier formula that's considered unstable; but instead of destroying it the government puts it on ice.

All the tithes from the Traitor Legions are still on Mars in timelocked stasis, as to when that timelock will unlock (or if it has already done so) is anyone's guess.

I thought the Blood Ravens were made from traitor gene seed.

It's a popular theory but in truth precedent suggests not until proof arises.

My Index Astartes 1 says it takes 55 years to grow a complete chapters worth of implants.

Wonder if they still have the gene seed of the lost legions.

They do, as Baron Spikey pointed out.

It's in the Index Astartes I article... the Adeptus Mechanicum keep the Traitor Legions' geneseed under a sort of timelock.

The concept of a timelock itself opens room for all sorts of interesting possibilities... what if it was set for (dramatic music) ten thousand years? "Surely that would be enough time for all that Heresy nastiness to be deal with?" thought the most incorrect Magus of the AdMech?

I thought there weren't tithes during the Great Crusade? It was something that emerged after the HH to prevent any sort of corruption?
