Stupid question I always wanted to know

Cn a slave in the dark eldar society actualy become a free man again. If he has to fight in an arena and keeps surviving would that give him more respect than the other slaves, enough to maybe even give him a live equal to a kablyte warrior.

No, in the same way that if a Chimp beats the shit out of it's keepers again and again it shouldn't expect to be deposited outside the Zoo.

Humans are a prey species, cattle, as far the Dark Eldar are concerned.

I imagine there would be some type of rewards to keep the slaves from being party poopers and not cooperating with the Dark Eldar. But I feel freedom would be out of the question. More or less, I think the stronger slaves are the ones who except where they are, and the weaker slaves die off easier because their pain gives off more of a shriek and therefore gives their captors (dark eldar) more pleasure. Essentially, it is my opinion that slaves more or less just try to escape the most extreme acts of the Dark Eldar pleasure seeking.

Edit: Thanks, and corrected Darkreever

I would expect that the Dark Eldar tell their slaves they can go free after they prove themselves in the Arena. But they never would except as part of some longer game.

The only time Dark Eldar free a slave is when the time suit's them, dark eldar love causing terror / fear / pants pooping so it wouldnt surprise me if they released a few (or left a few behind on planet) just to scare the populace before they attack!

They are arrogant and wouldnt care if the military were on a high alert because of this because they think Humans as weak and not a threat.

Yes, satisfy your master and be permitted to live a little longer until they grow bored of you; or don't satisfy your master and die.

Its really not a matter of cooperation, merely survival. There is no cooperating, because that would mean you the captive have some kind of status or standing beyond plaything or object of amusement/torture.

Captor, not captive. The people, things, and creatures captured are the captives. Those who own or rule them are the captor, very big difference.

Seriously, is it really that hard to write reviews without spoilers?

Another silly thought, if a slave preforms well in the arena could he start to get better captors. I know how weird it might sound but let me explain a slave, lets call him hank preforums well and survives for longer than a year a Sybarite notices this and allows him to join his sqaud as a simple "meatshield" (arrogance of the dark eldar.) He stays alive and gets alot of souls. A achron starts to notice this and kills the Sybarite owning you as his righteous slave. You come in his bodygaurd (would make a pretty intresting 'court of the achron' model) or is even allowed to lead his own strike force.

thanks for reading my (stupid) qeustions.

Again humans are nothing to the dark eldar, they would not consider giving a human a promotion anymore than a police horse has a chance at running for inspector. They are toys at worst and tools at best. If a human is of no use to a dark eldar it will be destroyed, if it keeps fighting and winning it might find itself sold to higher and higher up members of the society but it would always be a slave, it would certainly not be given leadership over other dark eldar.

My thoughts are that the Dark eldar may go along the lines of this type thing for perhaps... a craftworld eldar slave. but never a mon'Kieh it is simply inconcevable that a human could do anything better than an eldar. laughable even hahaha! but we need to keep in mind everyone is looking at humans and while this is their oppinion towards humans, orks, tau, kroot, vespid, other xenos, they do have some kind of respect for the craftworld eldar.... the same way that Robert Downey Jr. respects buhdist monks.
