Default <All Data Redacted>

So, in the new Forgeworld Heresy book, Massacre, there is a timeline featuring the events leading up to the Isstvan V Dropsite Massacres. It includes major events like the Council of Nikaea, as well as seemingly minor things like the Luna Wolves being renamed the Sons of Horus.

Two events, occurring 37 and 41 years before the Massacre, seem to point to the Missing Primarchs: the events themselves are labeled as <ALL DATA REDACTED>, and the only listed participating Legion are the Space Wolves.

There is a third event listed, however, that also has the participating Legion's identity redacted. This event occurs the same year as Isstvan V, and one year after Isstvan III and the Martian Civil War. Events to cross off the list (since they are listed on said timeline):
  • Not Horus' wounding on Davin
  • Not the destruction of Olympia
  • Not the burning of Prospero
  • Not Signus
  • Not Calth
So what could it be?

It has always confused me as well.

Are we supposed to assume that it has something to do with the Lost Legions? If so, it is quite a leap to suggest one, or both, were still active the same year as Isstvan V given all of the hints concerning their "separate tragedies" we have received.

Otherwise, it could be anything really!

Could it be the founding of the Inquisition and the Grey Knight forebears?

I imagine that happened a few years after Isstvan V. It certainly wouldn't have happened the same year as Isstvan anyway. Good thinking though!

But didn't Malcador form the Grey Knights sometime after Isstvan III and before Isstvan V. Obviously not formally but that's pretty much the gist of the last part of Flight of the Eisenstein isn't it?

Maybe it's the beginning of the Secret War/Magnus's warning with the participating legion (sort of) being the Thousand Sons. With that said I've found it difficult to keep up with the to-ing and fro-ing of the timeline, especially when Magnus is involved.

EDIT: I listened to the beginning of "Garro: Legion of One" again, and it certainly seems to imply that Loken's recruitment occurs after Isstvan V. Rubio's recruitment occurred during Calth, which is, again, after Isstvan V. Are we aware of any of the Knights-Errant (excluding Garro and Qruze, of course) who are definitely recruited before Isstvan V?

Could it be the Emperor/Malcador ordering the assination of Curze or Horus? Curze doesn't happen until years later, but the basic directive?

The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you have to load, or if you have to unload, go to the White Zone. You'll love it... it's a way of life.

Nick Naylor: Cigarettes in space?
Jeff Megall: It's the final frontier, Nick.
Nick Naylor: But wouldn't they blow up in an all oxygen environment?
Jeff Megall: Probably. But it's an easy fix. One line of dialogue. 'Thank God we invented the... you know, whatever device.'

I wouldn't believe that would even make it in the book, but like others said that wouldn't be until after I5

What about the issues around the Raven Guard and the creation/corruption of the primarch template gene seed? This would be in the same year as I-V, relatively.

It would help having a little more understanding about what types of events are being reviewed... things we as readers know of or events of Imperial record. As well, trying to go off of another new timeline that may or may not mesh with what's been published by both BL and Forgeworld makes it a big guessing game. According to The Outcast Dead, it arguable that the breaching of the gate on Terra by Magnus occurred in the same year as I-V, even though that's utter nonsense.

EDIT... although that last bit would provide justification for having the participating legion deleted.

The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you have to load, or if you have to unload, go to the White Zone. You'll love it... it's a way of life.
