Default Is it "fluffy" for Iron Hands armies to use Stormravens?

Hi guys. Bit of food for thought.

Would it be fluffy for a Iron Hands army to use Stormraven gunships?

I always thought of Iron Hands armies to be a heavy use of armour, but maybe more things like Dreads and Land Raiders, but the Raven is a equivalent but as a heavier flyer.

What's peoples opinions?

Being space marines and pretty tactical one i can't see why they shouldn't use stormravens. I see them more ground based, if thats the point, but really, air superiority or at least support is important too! They know it well. So, i say they use the raven, maybe not in huge numbers and more like an anti air option...

They must have Stormravens, even if they have less than a more mobile chapter, so I'd say it's fine to field one. I regularly get told it's not fluffy to have salamander bikes and assault marines, but their chapter organisation chart lists several of these squads.

As long as they aren't the main theme of your army it's perfectly fluffy.

Certainly. They're a Codex Chatper with a vast armoury and the ability to fight in all tactical situations. They'd be willing and able to use aircraft. In fact they might be rather good at aerial combat given they have the propensity to directly integrate with their vehicles.

"Captain, we need anti-air support now! Call in a stormraven!"

"No can do private. We don't like winning here in the Iron Hands, we'd rather just sit and shoot the stuffing out of them. Besides, stormturkeys aren't fluffy."

"Well yeah, they're giant flying metal boxes of death... but Landraiders are the same thing but without wings. We use them."

"Shutup private. Does it look like a inside out stuffed bunny? NO! It doesn't, so we can't field it. So there."

I'd say go for it

If you go down to the woods today, be wary
