Hello everyone. I got my April White Dwarf and they have rules for a warlord, except its a chaos version of it. And Also something like a chaos conclave, and stuff like that. what do you guys think about those things?

#3 ·
I'm just sort of glad they bothered printing datasheets in White Dwarf-- it makes it worth reading for a bit this month. The Thousand Sons Coven is particularly insane, if you bother fielding a maximum-sized Chosen squad. Apocalyptic Barrage 19, go!

Looking forward to that WD, shame that there Banelord is very similiar to the one we wrote a sheet for over at Astro.

There is also suppossed to be another wave of sheet for chaos in a few weeks, including Emperor's Children....once more we beat GW to the punch

I am looking forward to the Thousand Sons stuff from what I have been hearing. New WD doesn't come out here for a bit yet.

#7 ·
The new WD shows some chaos datasheets that are great, but it names many more datasheets and states that they (and the WD ones) are on the website for viewing. I don't know what the issue is, but at least on the us games workshop site the new datasheets aren't on there. Anyone else having this problem or know where the new datasheets are posted online?

#8 ·
They're not on the UK site either, I'm guessing that either it will be a week or so until they go up (so that all the sheet junkies buy WD first ) or (more likely) this is another screw up GW style.

Oh, and here are some of the dataheets promised in the upcoming White Dwarf ( at least their names):
Khorne Lord of Battle
Khorne Doom Blaster
Slaanesh Subjugator
Emperor's Children Warband
Nurgle Plague tower
Silver Tower of Tzeentch

Cant wait for these! I love making my own stuff, and converting, so that Tower of Tzeentch sounds promosing!

Im hopeing they sort thoses sheets out soon. I Think that they should do the other Chaos war engines, such as-

The Decimator,

When the followers of Horus turned from the light of the Emperor they had at their command millions of Imperial Guardsmen who also embraced the Dark Gods. Like the Imperial Guard of today they made extensive use of tanks, artillery and other machines of war. The Decimator is a super-heavy tank now superseded by the Shadowsword and Baneblade in the ranks of the Guard. The forces of Abaddon still make widespread use of the Decimator though the mutating power of Chaos means the Decimators are very different from when they served the Imperium.

LEGION FELLBLADE SUPER-HEAVY TANK

The Fellblade super-heavy tank is one of the largest vehicles used by the Astartes Legions. Manufactured by the Mechanicum, and provided to the Legions, Fellblades are among the most dreaded sights to the enemies of the Imperium. These are formidable machines, armed with a variety of weapons ranging from the large caliber Fellblade cannon to the many small defensive heavy bolters festooning its hull. Fellblades are fitted with the most advanced compact Machine Spirits available and are above all, crewed by the mighty Astartes themselves.
This combination makes the Fellblade an even greater threat than the ubiquitous Baneblade used by the Imperial army. Each Legion uses the Fellblade based upon their own tactical doctrines. Thus, while dozens are in the inventory of the Iron Warriors, the masterraiders of the White Scars and Night Lords eschew thier use altogether.

Noted Fellblades:
Dominator - Death Guard
Khatek - Sons of Horus
Hydra’s Claw - Alpha Legion
Millstone - Iron Warriors

Desecrator
The Desecrator is a Defiler dedicated by the Death Guard to the service of Nurgle. Instead of a heavy flamer it carries a Vomit Cannon.

Deceiver

The Deceiver is a Defiler dedicated to the service of Tzeentch. It is armed with a Tzeentch Cannon and carries a Warp Flamer as an additional close combat weapon.

Debaser

The Debaser is a Defiler dedicated by the Emperor’s Children to the service of Slaanesh, armed with devastating sonic weaponry.

Death Wheel,

Though, during the 13th Black Crusade, the Defiler was a more common sight upon the battlefields of Cadia perhaps the most terrifying of Abaddon's daemonic constructions was the mighty Death Wheel.
Standing as tall as a scout titan these massive tracked wheels festooned with baroque spikes, guns and blades were first encountered by the Cadian 8th near Kasr Vasan when a large force of Black Legion armour accompanied by several Death Wheels forced the Cadians to disengage their pursuit of the Volscani Cataphracts.

Blood Slaughterer

The Blood Slaughterer was a Daemonic robot of Khorne, a small vehicle with two wheels, available to late 1st Edition and early 2nd Edition Chaos armies. The Slaughterer was daemonically possessed and subject to frenzy. Traveling swiftly on iron-bound wheels, it carried twin-linked Heavy Bolters, a Chainaxe and a Lash of Khorne. The Lash was a powerful energy whip, crackling with energy, the iron claws at the tip of each whip dripping in corrosive venom.
The Slaughterer was one of Khorne's daemonic machine creatures of iron and brass. It was protected by a daemonic aura, making it harder to kill than usual. However, with the advent of the Codex: Chaos (2nd Edition), the Blood Slaughterer was phased out of the Chaos army list. The closest 4th Edition equivalent unit is the Orkish Killa Kan, being a small vehicle that behaves like a heavy infantry.

Contagion,

Daemon Engine Nurgle, The contagion Plague Engine is one of the few artillery pieces available to the Chaos army. It is nothing more than a crude catapult which can fire a deadly payload into the enemy ranks.
The payload itself can be anythig from plague ridden bodies, flesh eating viruses or corrosive acid.
Because its range these Catapults are greatly valued by Chaos Commanders.

BLOOD REAPER

A monsterous creation of daemonic might, the Blood Reaper is a wheeled monster that towers above it's foes and bristling with turrets that spit death to those foolish enough to come close. Weapons: Skull Cannon (counts as twin-linked heavy bolters) and tower guns (counts as ten bolters).

Death Dealer
They represent huge mobile siege towers heavily armed and with transport capabilities. The Death Dealer may transport 25 troop.

Cannon of Khorne

The Cannons of Khorne are daemonic engines produced using a
combination of chaos Sorcerors and Dark Mechanicus adepts. A
large high-calibre ordnance weapon is first constructed, before a
daemon of Khorne is bound within its hull. Once trapped, the
now living weapon only lives for battle. It surges forward on
creaking wheels, ever hunting for a good vantage point from which to rain its deadly fire upon its foes. A cannon of khorne is fueled by the raw ingredients of Khorn’e’s kingdom:
blood, bone, and brass. These are consumed and enfused with the daemon’s
warp-fired hatred to produce a shot of deadly balefire. The fire from a
Cannon of Khorne is fickle, based upon the demeanor of the daemon
within, and it is not unusual for Cannons of Khorne to shake themselves
apart in the midst of their furious volleys. The volleys of balefire have
limitless range, so long as the target can bee seen, and the balefire will
burn foes out of any pretense of cover. Khorne is a proud warrior, and will
not suffer the use of majick agasint his daemon-engines, all of which are
protected against psychers with powerful runic wards.

Cauldron of Blood

The Cauldrons of Blood are daemonic engines produced using a
combination of chaos Sorcerors and Dark Mechanicus adepts. A
large high-pressure flame-based weapon is first constructed, on a
sturdy chassis before a daemon of Khorne is bound within its hull.
Once trapped, the now living daemon-engine only lives for battle.
It surges forward on creaking wheels, ever hunting for its foes to
burn away in a wash of boiling daemonic blood, or to simply crush under its relentless advance. A Cauldron of Blood is fueled by the great sizzling vats of daemonic blood.
As the vehicle closes in on its prey, it will unleash a gigantic torrent of
molten ichor onto its foes, melting them away in screams of agony. Cover
is no defense such a wave of bloody corruption, and the Cauldron of Blood
is highly feared in built up urban areas. The daemon-engine is also fitted
with a large bladed prow, to cut down those who would stand in its path.
Khorne is a proud warrior, and will not suffer the use of majick agasint his
daemon-engines, all of which are protected against psychers with powerful
runic wards.

Tower of Skulls,

An enormous three towered engine of destruction with prodigious amounts of short-range support fire that can fire all around.

DEATH ROLLER

Rumbling into battle, Khorne Death Rollers are nothing more then a roller of marble and a powerful daemonically enhanced engine to drive it forth. Only by completely immobilising the engine behind the roller that the Khorne Death Roller can be truely stopped.

FLYERS

Firelord,

This enormous flyer is heavily armed and armored with two flame cannons that operate similarly to those on the Doomwing, Lascannon and Firestorm Bombs. Firestorm Bombs can be dropped during flight as up to three barrage templates, which must touch each other.
Firelords are considered flyers and follow the full rules for units of this type.

Doomwing,

These are the air superiority fighters of Chaos. They also possess special flame cannons that may destroy buildings but do not ignore cover modifiers to hit. A special teardrop shaped template is used (the same as for the Imperial Hellhound).
Doomwings are considered flyers and follow the full rules for units of this type.

Swiftdeath Fighter

Forged within the Eye of Terror itself these agile fighters were present in vast numbers in the skies of the planets of the Cadian sector. Fused into one with their pilots and bristling with malevolent energy the Swiftdeaths were instrumental in the establishment of supremacy in the air for the Black Legion as they scoured the Imperial Thunderbolts and Lightnings from the skies.
Weapons, Stormbolters Fixed Forward, Heavy Bolter Fixed Forward. Heavier armour than the Hell Talon.

Doomfire Bomber

The deadly Doomfire bombers were the plague of many Imperial escorts and even capital ships, and it was a wave of Doomfires that delivered the killing blow to the battlecruiser ‘Cypra Probatii’ during the Battle of Gethsmane.

they need more cool space marine data sheets, the space marines have alot of them yes, but the only really usefull ones are the titanhammer squadrons and the grey knight thingy. the land raider aries is far to impractical to make and the preditor squadrons are too simple. there needs to be somthing really cool. what that would be i dont know, but as usual the space marines lack the really cool stuff

#16 ·
what about the other land raider ares? i think it is, Space marines have heaps of stuff, like what panda said they need some witch hunter ones, hm... might need to get the new WD when it comes out.

#17 ·
the sheets are on the us website and they gotteh lord of battle Banelord and Doom blaster

I'm a nid player 40k-wise, but have a pretty big Epic Chaos army from the firdt edition of epic. There were some awesome war machines back then, my favourites being the Lord of Battles (a huge whelled tank / titan / daemon crossover) and the Cauldron of Blood (a big big tank with a, erm, cauldron of daemon blood on top. It had a single daemon bloodcannon which used a 40k sized flamer template; that would be a very big apocalypse template indeed... I'd love to see some 40k scale versions of these :)
