Default Just a Quick Blight Drone Question

As the title suggests I was just wondering; I'm thinking of running a Blightdrone in my Daemons of Chaos army with the rules fielded in the Imperial Armour - Aeronautica. Is this something that would need to be discussed with my opponent before the game or am I allowed to field one without doing so?

Now that I think about it I'm actually wondering the same thing about the units in the "official" Apocalypse rules released by GW as there are some very cool units that don't cost a hefty amount of points.

thanks in advance!

According to the 'rules' if it has the 40k approved stamp then you can field it. What the individual people and stores you play with accept is between them and you though.

Thanks for your fast reply! Sorry about the topic title.

I didn't really notice those stamps untill you mentioned them, guess there will be a Blight Drone in my army's future after all^^.

I think the only potential issue opponents may have is if the entry in Aeronautica is vastly different from the one in IA:13 or Vraks, which are newer publications. Even then, I don't think there's a reason you must use newer rules. New editions or errata are probably more "fair" to use, but those are fairly few and far between.
