Now, moving right along to the next challenge, we will be doing an outpost, the best part about this one is if you submitted a Watchtower, it can be included as part of this. Since this is a for fun event the rules will not be to over the top. All I ask is you keep it to no larger then 12 x 12 x 12. I have to include a size restriction due to certain friends of mine over achieving a bit lol. Now you do not have to include the watch tower if you do not want to. it is not required nor will is effect judging at all, mine, if I am able to get my Gamesday stuff done in time, will not have a watch tower.
I might have to sit this one out, as I have exams in a month and should be revising. Mind you, a couple of supply tents and a landing pad to go with the tower.... Maybe I can cram it in..... We'll see. Good luck to everyone else though.
I think I would like to give this one a try. So limits are 12x12x12 and I take it that is in inches not feet? Is this to be for any particular army or can it be for any 40K army?
Copying an idea from Dusty, I have built a small parking bay for an armoured transport. I have also included a way to use it along side my watchtower or without it. And most of it is made from old floppy diskettes.
I'll give terrain a try! Considering my store doesn't have any xenos style terrain ill give Eldar scenery a try! Might be a challenge for a first project, but I love challenges
My understanding is any games system smidge.
WHF is fine, even another manufacturers game such as Warmachine or Confrontation would be good as long a the scale is about the same (No sneaky Epic buildings lol).
VV is correct. ANY model or type that is loosely around 28mm is fine and dandy. I might even accept an outstanding Flames of War building. Gamesday is over so I can focus a bit more on this, though I am now getting ready for GD Chicago.
oh my god thanks for the extension, ive been really sick and have had assignments due in so i havnt been able to do much lately but apart from that im about done the building stage
Aye, assignments... Glad to hear you're feeling better Thanatos; I haven't been sick, but I have just handed in a 6,000 word assignment. Strangely, my pile of bits is still a pile of bits, and I can't remember what my idea was.
Oh if only I had a drawing board to get back to...
I am glad this has been extended. I had started this but then was called out of town for the past 10 days and figured I was about stuck. I will hope to get this finished now.
I finished my Dark Angles outpost yesterday, Ill try making some pics and posting them, althow I am not really happy about the paintjob, so I'll also update some pre-painting pics.
I love building terrain and I think 2 of these models are top notch. This is just one more example as to why this is my favorite 40k community.
Do we get to vote on this challenge?
So what happens next? Is there another challenge or is this over now?
