My Time On The Age of Heroes Movie

I recently spent time in Norway filming a war movie called Age of Heroes. Here’s a few  pictures, links, video clips and anything else relevant I can find around the net.

This all came about from an email I received calling for extras. I responded that I’d be up for it and got a call back a few days later saying they wanted me to play a  cast member called Dobson instead of a German. The filming took place in Norway and was real fun apart from a virus that ripped through pretty much the entire cast and crew. Everyone got through it though (soldiered on so to speak) and made something amazing.

This film will fucking rock -- trust me.

All the commandos plus Tony Hood and Adrian Vitoria the director.

From left to right.
Ewan Ross, Me, Danny Dyer, Aksel Hennie, Sean Bean, Guy Burnet.

Unexpected choking during the photo taking process.

Me and Guy, nice bloke -- bit too good looking though. Why did I want to be photographed next to him again?

Aksel spots the tiny cameraman…

The SS administer a beating for the camera. ‘Orrible bastards.

Vernon and Ewan . Vern and his team were filming the making of video. Ewan is probably the funniest and wittiest person I’ve ever met in my life.

Here’s Danny Dyers take on the situation from his Zoo column.

The two stars were in the country to shoot scenes for their World War II movie Age of Heroes when an ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Iceland closed off European airspace.

They found themselves stranded at a remote location of the shoot -- and the situation got worse when a vomiting bug swept through the crew, forcing them to suspend filming.

In his column in Zoo magazine, Dyer writes: “I’m suffering badly because of all this s**t. I’m up in Norway filming this WWII movie with Sean Bean, and we’re in a f**king bad way up here -- and because of two acts of God, we might not even be able to finish this film.

“The first one is the lack of flights because of that bloody volcano. But the second is that some c**t has got a virus that has spread through the whole crew. Everyone’s dropping ill, people are spewing up left, right and centre… It’s a nightmare. I’ve swerved it so far, but we can’t fly people in to replace the ones who’ve got it. We’re just stuck up this f**king mountain, waiting to get sick. It’s totally surreal.

“Me and Sean have both got to do other things, so unless we can get this sorted, we’re in a bad spot.”

Danny, John and Isabella with an important message.

I’m not sure when the film is out but I’ll keep you updated so you can check it out… and yes, I am officially a movie star. sort of…

I’d just like to apologise to the guys I’ve missed, Will, Stephen, John -- anyone else? It’s not that I’ve neglected to post your pictures. I smashed my camera the first day hurtling down the icy slopes…
