But yeah. The names wouldbt mean something to anybody.

If someone came to me and said my name is martin andrew leonard for example, which literally means "warrior strong lionhearted", I wouldnt think any of those traits applied to him. Nor would I associate too closely with that.

Unless the integrity of the story relies on the pun of someones name, I dont think going too deep into the meaning is that good an idea, it detracts from the story.

My name can be loosely interpreted as God's generous twin......
So um, yeah I agree with not reading too much into things. Although regarding the Bretonnians, my Arthurian French was the first thing that popped into my head and never left
