The add on weapons to the knights that go either side of head look quite well, the ones on top of the shoulders look very out of place, a weapon sponson too far in my opinion
I think at least part of the problem with the shoulder turrets is everyone's inner physicist.
Those things are obvious kinetic weapons (so action is reaction), and firing them should see that shoulder plate ripped off... or even topple the entire Knight as they're as far away from the feet as it's possible to get. Give me a large enough lever, and all that.
The "realism" of the weapons does not bother me in the least, it's the aesthetic, to me the shoulder weapons look as hoc and just a cheap cash in on the popularity of knights, but hey GW is a whore to weapon bling
